Tempted by Slash and Myles Kennedy in Brum, something stopping me from pulling the trigger
Done some shows with them - they are brilliant. Great bunch of blokes - funny as hell.Wurzles Sunday
There probably ready for the "pension" tourI saw the last ever UK gig of the Smashing Pumpkins in 2000. Clearly it wasn’t.
Good to hear Robin Tower has still got it. Was in good form in Cardiff ten years ago, but believed he had health issuesI spent last weekend at Bearded Theory with my daughter. I saw plenty of great new acts (new to me anyway) Bob Vylan, Wargasm, Lambrini Girls, Amyl and the Sniffers and loads more. There were some belting sets from some of the old guard too, highlights being Orbital, The Orb, Stereo MCs and Sleaford Mods. I spent a fair bit of time on the smaller tents (which probably explains the damn COVID I’m now in bed with) and saw some great up and coming acts.
Edit: also great sets from Therapy?, Beans on Toast and a really funny Ed Tudor Pole.
I then saw Robin Trower on Tuesday who played like we were back in the 70s. What an absolute virtuoso he still is.
I’m due to see Seasick Steve in Kingston on Thursday but keep an eye out for a couple of tickets up for grabs if I can’t shake this damn COVID.
God is that place still openI’m at Pryzm in Kingston to see Seasick Steve tonight. Should be a good one as it’s a nice tight little venue. Much better than when I last saw him at Wembley Arena.
I guess he’d prefer Wembley though, lol.
Lambrini Giris are from Brighton / been tearing up venues here for a few years .I spent last weekend at Bearded Theory with my daughter. Snayx are another great up and coming Brighton band. It’s quite the hotbed of talent down there atm.Lambrini Giris are from Brighton / been tearing up venues here for a few years .
Amy and The Sniffers are brilliant live. She is an absolute star . Saw them at last years Green Man , had to chuckle at the fruity language coming from them as families with small kids looked on
