X Men - and apparently people like it. (and me too now :))

Theme is actually a big one for me. This was the first game based on theme and layout was almost an instant preorder but decided to wait it out...

That's why when Robotgregs's came up I snapped it up instantly. I'm actually pretty happy with where code seems to be already, I'm not the best player and neither are my friends and family so the chances of us seeing a wizard mode are pretty low so more enhancements closer to the start button is a win in my books.

I've even re-read the days of future past comics and have continued on from there too, I can't wait to get my hands on it 😄

I think I'm the same with the code mate. I'm not cursed with ability so I'm not in a position to complete more than four modes in a single game anyway.

If you love the comics then I suspect you'll love the game . . . it's addictive.

Brilliant new interview on Gonzo's channel with Enzo and Waison:

Some upcoming highlights:
- Both wizard modes are coming, first one is 'far in development' implying it'll be relatively soon
- New future mode is coming in between what's current, and the wizard mode.
- Danger Room enhancements coming to have more than just the 3 level ups in there, very elusive to what it was.

Waison is very passionate about the theme and did a pretty good job on the interview, clearly very reserved about giving too much away and over promising. Worth a watch / listen.

I started watching it last night, will watch the rest with a beer tonight.

Ok I put a good 3 hour session into Uncanny X-Men yesterday and the 'one more game' pull is strong with this one.

I feel like I typically finish 2 missions while playing at the moment and get to the future every other game so pretty poor as far as you guys are concerned I'm sure but my very last game I was 1 shot away from starting Save the City MB for the first time, it was right there... It feels like a mini-wizard mode on this game because the shots are insane.

I do need to dial it in a bit more, my auto plunge seems worse than the first time I played it, the sentinel head shot bricks somewhat often (and was the last shot I needed despite being labelled the 'easiest one', and my x-jet shot doesn't clear the danger room ramp either, just smacks the metal ramp and rejects hard. Oh and also my cerebro arm lock seems very stiff, when it releases it does it very slowly.

I'll spend some more time on those tweaks next time I get a chance but despite those things feeling really positively about the game, can't wait to see how the updates change the game further.

Had a couple of very new pinball players around from work for a little lunch and pinball break today and they loved it.

Loved the shots, enjoyed the crazy layout and the approachable code. Compared to Godzilla next to it they said 'its a lot more beginner friendly because you can get into a mode easier so feels like I'm achieving more than I am on Godzilla'

They definitely played more X-Men than Godzilla and because the games are quicker they were able to get a load in before we scurried back to the office.

Really enjoying it, even if I still haven't seen save the city mb once yet!
