Where to buy a NIB?

I don't know anything about games room, whether they are good or bad, however I did notice they accept divide buy as payment, which means interest free over a fairly long period of time, which if they actually have one in stock, verified by visiting, would make a NITB purchase far less painless, as it's credit direct with divide buy any issues with non delivery I'm guessing would be covered under the credit agreement.

I personally would by from Pinball heaven, they where incredibly helpful with helping me resolve fixing issue with my sttng boards, however interest free is interest free 😏

Phil at Pinball Heaven.
Buy nib there or I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Most places advertise pins they don’t have, and that’s fine for preorders.
I find it difficult to believe that anyone is cheaper than pinball heaven, I also know for a fact that you won’t get a better pre-sale, delivery and after-sale service anywhere.
They only use engineers that know what they’re doing regardless of location.
I’m not surprised that there is such overwhelming support for Phil, Chris and pinball heaven in general.
They are the viagra of pinball in the U.K.
and they will keep you going for longer than anyone else 🤣

Never understood why pinball heaven has never offered credit on pins? Must be a nightmare in there somewhere...

Depends on what you are after.
My 1st choice would be PH but if he doesn’t have what I want, I’ll go elsewhere.
I also purchased NIB from HLD with no issues.
I’ve visited both HLD + Games Room company.
I wouldn’t buy used off either ……

Not worth the hassle dealing with credit companies I imagine
I think it goes to say if you need to borrow money to buy a pinball machine then should you really be buying one it’s not exactly an essential item
Lol. I doubt anybody 'needs' to borrow to buy a pin in here. Although a pinball machine is most certainly an essential item, haha.

If offered, credit options could allow those that don't earn a lot to own games that would normally be sold to richer folk. Y'know, spread the love 'n all that.

Be wary of games room company. A good friend of mine purchased a revenge from mars from them, ( yeah it wasn’t a nib)
They took 50% of the price as deposit, and said it would be available in 6 weeks, as there was some work to do on it. After 6 weeks it wasn’t ready, and basically he got fobbed off constantly for months. It eventually arrived 9 months later !
they even tried to pressure him into paying the full amount, while they were still working on it
liberty games are the same.

If you can't see it and take it that day. pay zero.

Also, I’ve seen companies sell/advertise as new, with NIB price.
It’s hardly NIB by definition if it’s already unboxed in a showroom and being played by all who visit.

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments btw!

FWIW, GRC are the company I hear the least bad stories about... they at least try and do a good job on stuff, unlike the 21 point check ****ers!

GRC have the price wrong on Godzilla, thanks to Stern and the price rise plus added Electrocoin tax, but if they do have them at that, I think I'll be ordering from them lol lol lol

Phil

+1000 for Phil at pinball heaven for your next BIB pinball purchase.
Amazing service and knowledge, I wouldn’t hesitate handing over large sums of money for a new toy from PH.
Any other company I would probably want to pay on collection.

I don’t think the newer titles get your money back on.

It’s the older titles that are getting a good price as the NIB prices now are insane.
I'm with Dave here. All I've had is loss on ownership of modern Stern's. Expect to loose money if you plan to sell. The warranty is non transferable and ppl factor that in among other things. Older titles I see do appreciate.

Not sure when the dial shifts in the other direction for titles. Maybe low quantity high quality pins like Elvira house of horrors would be the exception?

+1 for @philpalmer - there's a reason everyone states such good things about him. He has been doing this a long time and doesn't mess about. Knows the industry, knows the product, knows the issues, knows how to resolve them. NIB game - yep, go via Phil.

It’s supply & demand..
I buy games that the theme /toys appeals to me, then I hope the code matures enough
Code has a huge impact on desirability, buying new games with incomplete code due to FOMO - you role the dice every time you buy the new games.

it took 4yrs for Ghostbusters to get the update it deserved, just hoping Munsters will get some more love.

Buying NIB is always going to be a gamble. I’ve probably lost little if anything on Elvira, TWD and MMR. Iprobably lost a grand or so on Alice Cooper.

some poor buggers will have bought Aerosmith, Star Wars and Munsters. Each of which will have taken a big hit.

who knows with Godzilla. Will it hold its value or sink like a stone? Not a huge problem unless you plan to sell it.

buying on credit also seems to be risky. Ok, so in real terms you could be paying less as inflation erodes your debt. But there again you might end up paying for three years against a game which only sat in your house for six months. That would drive me insane. 😂

I would say neither are the fancy cars that people have on tick. Cars may be essential, but not fancy cars.
Rather have a loan for a pinball machine than a car every day of the week.

Pinball Heaven is the only place you need to be considering if you are buying NIB.
Been in the hobby 3 years and had 3 NIB off @philpalmer
If there is a problem he will do all he can to fix it.

Any luck with getting a Godzilla pro at this price? Their website says 8k for a pro.
I didn't order in the end as I received a veto from my partner on a "space constraint" in the flat... Still working on it though! Considering the feedback received I would have gone with the advice of 95% of the people her le anyway.
Has anyone else ordered over there?

Late to the party on this one, but its another vote for Phil at PH.

Been dealing with him since 1999, and he's as helpful and resourceful as ever. No one else comes close.
