We're on an express elevator to hell, going down! - Alien LE arrival

Congrats man. Absolute God tier theme for me. I was first introduced to Aliens when I was around 15 and it never did me any harm... Ish. Game looks superb, if Heighway prove themselves in the coming years I'd love to own one. I like that they totally disregard anything after Aliens. As it should be

I can only tell you what owners have said Neil, and I have had a few drinks it’s true

Started off well enough but the story drifted off. Not a patch on the first 2 films.

Watched it tonight. It’s ok but yeah, not one but three tough acts to follow. Better than the previous one though

Wouldn’t think anything in the alien films would warp Dan. Matt watched them with me last year

Need to get him to watch terminator soon

Was more concerned when i discovered he’d swiped my box sets of game of thrones. He got bollocked for that one

I reckon they would have been 15's by today's rating standards.

I remember vividly going to see Aliens on it's cinema release. I was 16 .....and of course chuffed I could get in to see an 18 :D I Remember being absolutely blown away ...it was the greatest thing I had seen since Star Wars back in 77. I went with a good friend of mine to see it in the biggest cinema/screen in Cambridge at the time ...on the Market Square - now long closed down, think it is an M&S now :( Recall walking out into the afternoon sunshine just speechless. One of the greatest films of all time.

They don't make them like that anymore. Proper adult SciFi....everything now is dumbed down CGI fest sh*te aimed at the teen and below market. Real shame. There are actually hardly any big 18 movies anymore. The infantilisation of our popular culture makes me sad/angry.

Have to say I hated Covenant. Just utter garbage. The origin story was dreadful. David playing the flute. The greatest hits Aliens section crammed into the end. The shower scene. Awful film. I was desperate to like it as well. Just like with Terminator, I pretend only 2 films exist in the franchise

I have purposely avoided it. Prometheus was bad enough :(

I prefer Prometheus. Mainly because it damages the franchise as a whole less. The full origin story in Covenant is hilariously bad. Fassbender overload

That so true so many movies and movie reboots in recent years could of been awesome if they had been 18 rather than 12 and 15

Must watch one of them sometime.

Have been at the alien encounter attraction in Disney years ago, scared the bejuses out of the wife (mainly because it was pitch black and blew water over you, honey I shrunk the kids had the same effect)

Yeah, I get loads of stick in work about it as well, doesn’t help that I’m always saying game over man, game over when something goes pear shaped, only found out about a month ago that’s from aliens

I have a long list of classic movies that I haven’t seen, have an even longer list of crap ones I have seen..

Over the years of my kids growing up I’ve sat them through all the best 80s / 90s movies I saw at the flicks as I grew up, they’ve loved them. My eldest is now nearly 17 and I they watch horrors so recommended they all watch The Thing, great movie.

Played Alien at the event at the arcade club and really liked it

Stay FROSTY people

Oh Carpenters The Thing is just brilliant.

Beyond all my expectations I thought the recent reboot/reimagining/prequel/whatever it was ... wasn't actually too bad.

The Thing is great! The practical effects in that movie are brilliant/terrifying. So much better than the CGI fests we get these days
