We're on an express elevator to hell, going down! - Alien LE arrival

Lots of belief that this thing ain't gonna work. Have faith - maybe its going to be good. (Can you tell I'm in an optimistic mood today).
 
Like @Neil McRae said yesterday. Alien at Flipout lasted 32 seconds from turning it on. I have 'played' it a number of times but by the time I leave, it is always turned off. Great theme but a shame.
 
It’s looks a good pin and certainly could have sold well in the U.K if they priced it less than a Stern pro. Pity you cant buy direct and forced to go thru HLD.
 
if anything did go wrong with it id be stood outside their unit wanting replacements.
Folk in the US seem to wait an age for parts to appear.

Got in early direct, paid a lot less that HLD price
 
the birds are in the air, we're going to nuke it from orbit. Its the only way to be sure.

Hmm - take a picture of the whole Of the bottom cabinet. the one I tried to fix was a mess. It looks tidy but there is a huge amount of complexity on the boards.

i played this pin for hours when it arrived and without any problems at Flipout with its owner, and i also talked to the owner Mike last night who is very competent with fixing machines ( he fixes most of the problems at flipout ) and he told me the machine had blown a fuse which he replaced and was then fine and that it was off as a precaution untill it was examined i presume by him. when i told him about this thread he thought it was funny and very inaccurate and said he would have done the same with any pin including the ac dc that kept blowing fuses recently.
It also had a small section of the lighting out which is now working, which he believes may have been from it being transported several hundred miles.

i also know someone who had a full throttle on site for quite a while and he said that he had no major problems and definatly no more than a modern stern
 
The sound package on it is fantastic, will upload a video of first boot and game
 
Looks great! One would fit in so well underneath the original Alien promo poster in my cinema, but not sure I'm brave enough to risk it!

Sorry dood but are you on the beer? :) Every time I've gone to play a full throttle its down or bust. The pinburgh one lasted one round (4 games)., 50 year old machines lasted 3 days! The one at Chicago Expo didn't last, nor did the aliens. The one in Tilt never worked.

The Alien machine was dead just after it was delivered on Thursday according to Tim. I went to stream it on the Saturday and it blew three fuses that I replaced. Mike was struggling to find what the problem was (and posted to pinside). Pinside threads are full of problems on this and Full Throttle.

Glad that it's worked out for you @ianw . You've been waiting an age for this and I hope it works out well. Seems all NIB have there issues. Pity your tother side of island. Would have loved to have helped. Best of luck!!!!!
