UKPinfest 2025 - August 22nd, 23rd & 24th

Usually, I can never make PinFest due to it always clashing with family holiday, which MrsM gets her leave given.

This year, our holiday plans are very different which means I can actually attend.....

Or at least, that was until I got notification that a planned op I've been waiting for is taking place in mid August.

FML. I need a break! One day @Big Phil, I promise..... one day.....

I'll be starting the donation thread shortly. We're 7 months away and that will fly over.

One major change this year is the location change of the UK Pinfest Open tournament. This will now be held in the training suite which is down a few stairs in the reception area.

Free play and the tournament are a victim of their own success and they both need more space.

The main room will be free play only.

Stall Ball gets crazy busy and this will be held in the corridor so it doesn't interfere with free play.

The Pinfest main website is confusing.

I am now not sure if I booked the correct hotel days?

Do the competitions actually start on Friday morning?

Which day(s) are machine setup?

Last year the comps started on the Friday. The free play area gets set up Thursday and Friday.

Free Play starts 7pm Friday.

Two areas this year with pins in, change to previous years that allows more flexibility for setup and play. If you want to compete in comp, then get there for 10am Friday. Just want to bring pins, shoot some ball talk cod **** to folk then get there around midday Friday with your pins to help set up. Not bringing pins, not interested in comp then Friday evening.

OK Well I booked my hotel for Friday to Sunday so I guess I am not doing the comp then. I must have missed something as I thought everything started Friday evening 🤣

I've booked Friday to Sunday too. Turn up at 10 a.m to get in the comp early though you can come I at any time. Then check in around 15:00 which I believe is the earliest time you can check in to the hotel?

The comp runs throughout the weekend, it just started earlier last year to make it worth more WPPRs. You'll still be able to play in it if you arrived on Saturday, unless it's totally changed compared to previous years.

Leave a bit earlier buddy or grab a hotel 10-15 miles out for Thursday night. Where there is a Will there is TV's Barber.

@lukewells It's a ticket based qualifying so you can play in the tournament any time starting from 10am Friday. You dont need to register and start playing at 10am on the Friday you can do that at anytime up to the closing of qualifying which I think was the freeplay closing time on the Saturday last year, play offs where they played on the Saturday evening and the finals on the sunday.

Those times may be adjusted this year with it being held in its own area and access not dictated by the freeplay area opening times.
