The stream wasn't the best quality unfortunately but that was out of Neil's hands. Outstanding performances from Simon, to qualify in sixth with a field as strong as this was phenomenal. Kev and Gene who rallied after the 6 p.m break in the last two rounds to get themselves in the mix for tomorrow. Also a mention for Owen and Dan Pike who are both showing good consistency. Brilliant play from all the big hitters too as usual.

Apparently the key to unlocking Simons potential was getting up at 4.30am and driving for 3 hours before a huge comp. Amazing performance from Simon today.

Good luck guys 👍

4g router and an unlimited data sim might be an option going forward.

Not been able to watch any of the stream but been kept updated when it hit the final 4. Amazing play from our Will Dutton, shame it wasn't enough to get that ifpa spot but a fantastic result. I guess not on here but well done to Ben for the win.
Gutted I couldn't be there for this but see you guys at the masters next month. 😊😊

I thought Will would still get the IFPA spot as the highest finishing UK player?

Is that so? If so great!!😃😃😃 Sorry I just assumed it was only for the top finisher.
Can someone clarify?

Had such a great weekend - well done and thank you to Matt, Neil and the rest of the team at PBR for putting on this event. The format was excellent, the tiered Swiss really added tension to the latter rounds as every bad game directly benefited those nearest to you in the standings. It was a format befitting of the UKCS finals.

Qualifying yesterday was a bit of a fever dream for me, just one of those days when it all clicked and I had a combination of decent play and good matchplay luck, still often picking up good points even when my score was middling. Coming into the weekend the best I could have realistically hoped for would be scraping into the top 32, so to end up with a double bye was absolutely nuts.

Unfortunately I think the pressure subconsciously got to me for the finals today - I was snatching at my shots a bit and by the time I started pulling it together, it was pretty much over. Maybe just a bit tired today. Well played by Ryan who had an excellent tournament.

Looking forward to the Masters where I expect I might regress towards the mean a bit 😂 see you all there!

Just on train home

Extremely good weekend, loved the format and I think this should be the standard for every UKCS going forward.

Venue is awesome and probably only place in UK that can hold such a brilliant tournament. If you think I’m wrong tell me where and what machines they have to do a old mid and new…

I do think the price was too cheap and we need to ensure it’s financially beneficial for PBR to want to host it again. They paid for James to be on hand as a tech etc.

I would suggest £50 to £60 minimum

Massive thanks to Matt and Neil and rest of the team for all there work not only running the club but also hosting things like the UKCS

First UKCS for me and I loved every minute of it. I was hoping maybe I'd squeeze into the top 32 from some good games later on Saturday but alas it wasn't to be. It wasn't really a major concern for me though as it was just a fun environment and any bad games I had was offset by just the enjoyment of the competition as whole. I think the format was excellent, hopefully we'll get to see that used again in the future - there was definitely some dramatic best of 7's once the knockout phase started.

Thanks to Matt, Neil and the PBR team for the warm welcome as always, won't be too long until the British Masters so I'll see a bunch of you then :)
