No problem, just spoke to Christian, he is on it, you should receive an email shortly
Just got home to this thread, sounds like it's already sorted but if I can help in any way give me a shout.
I got the invite but being the weekend before Texas i had already booked for the pin masters in Chicago on the same weekendAh I've just seen @Jem is already in! Nice!! (I mean, of course he is, is there a tournament the UK number 4 doesn't go to? ) What about you @PUP did you get your invite?? Are you going to go? @Moonraker will probably make it too? Could be a whole UK contingent. Christian's place in Boras is amazing, 120 fantastic games against the best in Europe, definitely not to be missed if you can make it work!i
Interstingly i seem to be both 306th and 478th in this list... https://www.ifpapinball.com/rankings/country.php?country=165&t=100&p=5With PinFest around the corner I thought now would be a good time to update you all with the current UKCS standings:

With the top 64 players qualifying for a chance at next years comp for a spot at the IFPA World Championships, there is lots still to play for!!
The standings are always available to be viewed at https://www.ifpapinball.com/rankings/custom_view.php?id=386&t=50&p=2
Looks like your name was entered Paul Brook by mistake by @Arv for the classics - he should be able to email the IFPA and get the two records combined. And you'll jump up a bit too!Interstingly i seem to be both 306th and 478th in this list... https://www.ifpapinball.com/rankings/country.php?country=165&t=100&p=5
PinFest and the UK Open will obviously massively shake this up; curious as to what happens with the likes of say, a Raymond or Escher who could easily pick up 100+ points from the UKO and notionally qualify. Do you just skip overseas players or those who otherwise can’t make the UKCS event and keep going until you have 64 in attendance? With PinFest around the corner I thought now would be a good time to update you all with the current UKCS standings:

I need to play a lot more (and get considerably better!) to be able to do that!!And you'll jump up a bit too!
But if the IFPA combines the two names you'll increase your points - without having to play anything elseI need to play a lot more (and get considerably better!) to be able to do that!!
So they would be able to play in the event if they chose to but wouldn't be able to take any UK spots at the World Championships.PinFest and the UK Open will obviously massively shake this up; curious as to what happens with the likes of say, a Raymond or Escher who could easily pick up 100+ points from the UKO and notionally qualify. It's true, you should be 292ndBut if the IFPA combines the two names you'll increase your points - without having to play anything else
What format does the IFPA world's use Craig?Hi @Matt Vince,
Do we now have a date and venue for the UKCS finals? As we are nearing the end of the year and as it's the top 64 qualifying, I'm guessing we might need quite a few alternate spots, so would be good to know a date to work towards so people can plan. Also has the format been finalised? With 64 players, copying the IFPA world's format would be amazing!
Cheers, Craig

This sounds bloody awesome. Hope it falls on a weekend I am freeFormat for worlds is epic.
8 rounds of group matchplay, each round consisting of 3 games (old, mid, new). So in total, before the cut takes place, everyone plays 24 matchplay games. 7,5,3,1 scoring.
The top 32 make the cut. Top 8 get a double bye, 9-16 get a single bye.
17-32 then playoff in a best of 7 H2H match. Each player gets to choose a game before the match takes place, from each category (old, mid, new). First to 4 wins progresses. If it gets to 3-3, then it goes to a best of 3 (first to 2 wins) and you can choose from any category of games with no era restrictions. In all cases the higher seed gets to pick second and would also get pick the 2 games if it goes to the sudden death best of 3.
This format then repeats.

Its by far the best format I have ever played in. The idea of having a UK world championship is so exciting! It obviously requires lots of time, but the winner will definitely have earned it! And with a world championship spot on the line, they definitely should have to earn it! Hopefully Matt will be able to provide more info and whether this is actually the plan But I love the idea of the top 64 players in the UK getting to experience this amazing format that only a few of us in the UK have had a go at

Same! It does sound awesome - Matt was saying before he hoped the format would be something like what Craig described. With possibly half the field qualifying for the playoff cut- that is a reasonable (but tough) target for everyone who comes. And then - if you do make it to the big time, how far can you go in the hesd to head battles? Exciting stuff.
Hope there will be enough interest to fill the entire 64 slots - if we can get this off the ground soon!
I like the look of thatFormat for worlds is epic.

Probably been answered already but can anyone play in this or is there a ranking criteria?
