Twilight Zone Shenanigans

So I've decided to keep hold of this for now. I've been playing it quite a bit and I am starting to enjoy it more. Not as much as I used to but enough for a stay of execution at least.

This particular machine is one of the early runs. So it has the white clock face. But it also has the posts and rubber in the pop bumper area. These were later taken out and all later TZ playfields had the 2 holes plugged with little plastic stopper thingies. My old machine was a later run model.
Anyway, because I am more used to playing on a TZ without these posts, having them there kind of feels like cheating. You certainly get less bumper drains. But it takes away a lot of the drama too. I mean, you can actually go for the skill shot if you fancy it!

I don't know...... I might take them out. What do you fellow TZ players reckon?

I never had a problem with left hand outlane drains on standard production TZ and I have had a few. So for me Dean remove the rubber and post and be a devil.

I used to drain quite often from the pops if memory serves. Then again, I was a lot ****ter at pinball back then and didn't nudge and shove the machine around as much as I do now.

My TZ doesn' t have the extra pop rubbers and tbh I never felt it was that drainy ...certainly not to the level that people seem to gripe about. Suspect different machines behave differently.

TZ's can be drain monsters down that left side plus no ball save unless you're on home ROMs... :-o

I remember that I use to avoid the skill shot so it must have been a bit drainy. Not a problem with the cheaty posts there though!

Great isn't it, Think I will let Will buy mine at the Chinese, just to give Paul a chance to go to the cash point as he should have run out of money by then.
