Today I worked on......

Not that I noticed, will go take a look now and let you know.
The LEDs in the 2 “billboards” at the ramps stay lit, lightly flickering.

the new Chase board has not arrived yet. USPS is very slow at the moment

Just added Pinsound speakers to CFTBL...
and when I get to the bottom of the box of stuff.. I see a compatibility card with list of games.

According to the chart CFTBL isn’t compatible with the speakers..- dunno why tho.. there’s sound coming out of them  and the Sub, which is Massive doesn’t block the Hologram..

Thoughts? I did take a picture of the speakers in the back box, they are a little close to the WPC Powerboard as I have the lighted speaker panel and so have had to use stand offs to first raise the speaker template above the wires and then the speaker. There is about a fingers depth between speaker and connectors.

They look ok !
But.......my OCD would swop the wires around so the spade connectors are on the side !

Just fitted the Ingo clock board, what a ball ache doing it with that piano mod in the way😡
All working, ‘time’ will tell how long for but I do think it was the old board but that was a replacement by B&T spare parts whoever they are?
And just seen the problem, 2 x hour opto’s casing coming away and it was an hour fault😤

The outrun monitor chassis is in the post on its way back so that should be up and running again soon [emoji2] more progress made on POTC as well, the cleaning will be starting soon but I keep getting distracted by AFM!

I've also got another arcade project to start soon and might do a thread on it in the non pinball area [emoji106]637b299b030728119fd5b7b6f2e607f0.jpg9488a9727347b0a80de7553f83a3ceb3.jpg0ebf6ed328076e334c5426f9d4abdc43.jpg

NVRAM fitted to TOM. This could have been done for the grand total of £6.25. Except I was lazy and tried to avoid taking the board out. Trashed two chips by wrecking the legs. Third time lucky. Works a treat. Dracula next...

Today I worked on my (@Neil McRae 's old) Alien Poker. I've remote(d) the batteries to save any possible alkali damage, repainted the legs, replaced about 20 bulbs and cleaned here and there. This last week I've added new caps to the sound board as it was losing sound after a while, so maybe that will be that fixed. This afternoon it was time to add some fuse holders to stop any chance of the bridge rectifiers causing problems (the bugger catching fire).

So that's the fuse holders done on this, Elvira and Cyclone to do next.

Overall it's a great game which I'd never even played until I had this one and one I don't plan on getting rid of either! Thanks Neil! 👍

Try to summarise- guy on Pinside says door rod is rubbing against plastic

Another Pinside says rod is in wrong position
And should be like

To fix it have to take it apart, as other end of rod under raven mech
Another pinsider posted this picture

I am missing the metal piece just under the mech- think it keeps the white nylon runner lined up!

Back on the Pin2DMD Editor today, couldn't resist making the DE splash animation a bit more Hooky. On these 128x16 DMDs it's worth colouring the animations if only to repair the frame tearing. This is half the work, triggering it reliably on the real machine is another story.

Well, a weekend off and time to fix those little faults on my pins.
Firstly: RFM, left flipper sticking up, found that the spring had come off, put it back on and still was sticking, found a crack in the plunger. Replaced and all good.

Then on to Apollo 13: Firing out 2 balls on game start up. A fiddle with the trough and fault fixed. Also finished off fitting my home made topper.

Then on to WPT: I had fitted LED rings on the bumpers and had glued them in. The white on came loose and needed to glue it back in. Needed to take off the upper playfield for a 2 min repair.

Such a simple and cost effective upgrade and on AFM, it makes a huge difference. If you don’t have a set of @Colywobbles protectors on AFM, you are missing out. Cheers Col!

Replaced a couple of broken star posts, so when you are doing that you do em all, and adjusted up that left switch.

Did both sides of course, as you can see.

a quick wipe over with Novus 3 (the plastics ones) and drop of your own brand of wax, everyone has their favourite right.

The wife wants guardians back as this is too fast, the shots are too far away and “what’s attack from Mars anyway” - she doesn’t like losing.

she’s gonna hate how fast it is now...

Showing BKsor some love! Opinions on finish welcome.
I saw a post over pinside of some guy making some 3D printed Card Holders which looked nice so I set about making my own.

It was more for the horrendous epilepsy warning attached to the magma save decal TBH.

So I bought some brass Escutcheon Pins and made a black acylic border in a BK stylie and really pleased with the result just unsure of Matt or Gloss what you guys think?

Thx for looking Col

They look better in flesh TBH but I get your thinking and now you mention it Matt blends in nicer although Gabe and the wife like the gloss. Doh back to Sq 1.

It's more the number of dots rather than the finish. I feel like one in each corner would be enough. I'm sure it looks better in the flesh. Whenever I'm working on an animation I tend to overdo it and then dial it back a lot. I think you need to dial it back here. There's a sweet spot between enough and too much.
