Thanks to ChrisB for the loan of the originals

@M4carp I notice you don’t have a cliffy on the Gimli hole! I have New cliffy - never used and for shire as well.
Thanks for the offer, I have them as they came new with the machine but not fitted. The Gimli cliffy dont seem right though as there is a post on the left that stops it fitting in, not sure if the LE is slightly different.
That MM would look good next to my AFM😁

if you have a GOTG you need these.

Today I found a small Flourecent plastic sitting on the PF so investigated and found this. Bear in mind these protectors were not made by me but came already fitted to my GOTG LE when I bought it.

The orb protector had broke in 2 places due to how narrow the protector had been made but it could have been worse and been the original one which is just as narrow. The protector fitted was exact since where’as I make mine slightly larger by around 1-1.5 mm
BTW I did enquire and GOTG doesn’t do a common break set that I know of so you would have to get a full set if you wanted like new

So today I stripped a few of the important ones and beefed them up a little just in case and while I was on put a much needed window for the ORB that is so much better as it let’s you see the target and the light below is not diffused onto the orb when it splits or in the case of the pro lights up.

It took a few prototypes till I was happy (note the original fitted 2nd plastic down)

Finally while I was on I decided to do the same with the other important ones in case I had similar problems and I also wanted to oversize anyway to give a little more bling

All done this is how they now look

Power on and wow well happy with the window on the Orb and gets rid of that retro fitted metal bracket Stern later supplied to stop breakages.

Shout if anyone needs these I’ll do the 3 for £20 posted and adapt for the pro version without spinner and Tap Dancing Rocket.

Oh and I can do in any colour and also Clear for the purists out there

Finally put my upper playfield ruin rails in, plus the new planes, and repainted my idol lock ruins. And got a half decent score on my test game afterwards!

DeadPool is an absolute work of art in every way except them dam ugly washers that damage your balls, diffuse the light and for me distract an otherwise perfect playfield.
So today I chucked mine in favour of a redesigned set of clear plastics. It’s the little things that get me excited which for some reason the wife says about me when I get a little amorous
I was actually gonna try these colour coordinated red-left and Blue-right but after I made these protos just loved the clean look so I’m probs gonna leave as is.
If anyone would like a set I’ll do them for £7.95 inc P&P and give a lifetime guarantee should they break as long as you pay the postage (currently £1.50)

P.S. please read disclaimer at bottom of post regarding all purchases

Ah - sorry misread the post. Thought the above was talking about replacing the metal washers
I think you can actually buy Lexan washers but if you want me to make 4 sets and send them FOC to try you are welcome.
I can make them out of scraps of acrylic that only gets chucked out anyway

Ghostbusters Slime protectors v4 part 1
When I got my GBLE it came with some cracking Flourecent protectors already fitted but with my OCD I kept thinking they could be improved in a few ways so I spent most of today trying different options and tweeking them till I happy.
I finally settled on these which I vastly slimmed down from the ones originally fitted, I married them to my flippers ready for some bat toppers also in the works and gave them much needed windows to tone them down a little.
These are not only sling/guide protectors but also stop the ball jumping lanes which I am told was a problem without them.
Next up is matching air ball protector for the ramp and ect goggle one for prem/le versions.
As always they really do look fantastic in the flesh.
