The "Today I received" Thread

To replace my troubled board in Fathom. It has blown three trannies on a solenoid circuit with days of happy working in between. Then the high voltage bit for the displays burned out some components so no displays now

It may be that the board is the symptom not the problem. But this will help me diagnose things. And good to have a spare as swapping between working and dead games to diagnose faults always carries a risk

uploadfromtaptalk1435170624373.jpg thanks @ Nedreud for giving me a very detailed response on the essentials for noobie shopping and also all the great, used and very inexpensive links. Thanks again. Pity I've got all this around me at the mo uploadfromtaptalk1435170952944.jpg that I can't even get to the damn thing! Just a couple more coats and then I might be able. [emoji3] but I'm sure someone SWMBO will have me doing something else [emoji30]

Same Allen key set as I have, proved very useful so far.

You're in way too deep now Mike, you've passed the point of no return now ;)

These turned up today. Super quick delivery from DigiKey. I had no idea they were shipping them via UPS from the USA. That explains the fairly steep shipping price.

Mind you, if you're doing a job you might as well do it right eh?

The actual parts were pennies and I figured with the shipping costs I might as well grab some extras. So if anyone needs some solder lugs for a cabinet rebraid then let me know and can sling some in the post to you. I grabbed 50 but I suspect I won't use more than 10 absolute tops.
