The image is on the front and if it still could, you'd expect the fade to be more where the tube is, getting darker towards the edges.
I think your issue is your tube as mine looks as dark as yours when unlit.
today was the day..
had to have a few words with the delivery guys, one cut the game off the pallet - I did say it needed to be kept on!

My first real machine set up! JP2 Prem joins my vpin in my new room. Massive thanks to @philpalmer for answering all my questions and @Pick Holder for coming and setting it up upstairs, installing the extras I bought, giving me a walk through and for purposely not putting a high score on it before he left! Even though I'm rubbish, still really enjoying it, should give me plenty to work on for a while. Very happy

Dino #2. This will be a conversion to probably Pi 4 running one of the many releases out there via Pi2Jamma. Not sure wether to leave the CRT in there (Will need re-capping as was squeeling like a pig and not very happy when i picked it up....) or to convert to a 17" 4:3 which i understand should fit...

Weebly board for my meteor and some roms to update the code in the other ones. This has the latest meteor and quicksilver code.
On meteor
spinner counter,
bonus for sweeping the 1/2/3 drops,
endless specials
and free play.
On quicksilver:
Turn bonus multipliers off ball to ball
Swap spinner sounds for lit/unlit
Highest spin stored in audit 25 and displayed on score 4 during high score display
If spin stops on mutiple of 20 award special
If spin beats highest spin award special
Sweep bonus for drops awards 50K
Epic stuff from slochar

And I managed to find EHOH topper - got it for retail but still stupid price but I love this game!
Annual service on Skateball today. Cannot believe it’s over a year since it sold. Customer gifted me three bottles of wine from his family vineyard in Switzerland 
(this is a first). Good to be reminded of how epic Skateball is.

Almost lost the sale due to a dealer called Peter Hardman blatantly trying to gazump me even after the seller clearly marked the ad as sold.
Thankfully the seller honoured the deal and I drove up to Leicester to collect Galaxy this morning.

To be fair I sold Peter a couple of tables, he turned up swiftly - collected - paid what I asked (he haggled a bit but I did allow for that).
He makes a few quid out of pins. Dont think he is very good with the soldering iron. Buys and resells a lot, but then again - when given the chance I do.
