I don't see prices going down any time soon, the same goes for the classic car market. As with everything there is usually a 30 year mark when prices soar, hence what I assume why 90s B/W machines are on an all time high that with the fact they are considered the golden age by most (also lockdown boredom and people wanting to spend money). You can see the likes and trends with classic car prices, currently 90s Japanese cars are through the roof, 30 years on, the Gran Turismo generation have more money and want to rekindle their youth; I know as I nearly picked up an R33 GTR for sub 15k back in 2019 and now they're around 45k.
I've been meaning to get into the hobby for a while even at the age of nearly 22, but with sitting by the sidelines since around 2005 (thanks dad
@carl lawrence ) but I would really need big pockets to spend what is essentially a used car price on a big toy Granted I can't talk much since dumping money into a 1979 MK2 Escort and 1994 Eunos Roadster . Still on the hunt for a Swords of Fury and a Medieval Madness though and seeing the prices rise since 2010+, the latter you can no longer pick up under £5000 if I tried and I have considered going on a European roadtrip. I bet there might be a deal out there on some beat up players machine though, the dream will continue.
Instead these days going to a barcade/arcade club/tilt/chief coffee and picking up a jamma arcade candy cab seems much more viable to my young eyes but thats just me. So for me unless some deal comes across thats too good not to refuse I'm pretty much out
On a side note I'll just blame wez as the reason the pinball prices are rising and its all
@carl lawrence fault for selling him Last Action Hero, but at least we still have his £650 Diner from 2012
