Williams SOLAR FIRE arcade pinball machine - good working order - VERY RARE | eBay

Cash on collection preferred from Electric Circus Retro arcade Nuneaton CV11. Only downside on the machine. Price reflects the legendary status of this machine. A very special machine! Usually badly worn with flakey back glasses but this one has nice playfields and CPR repro glass.

Can anyone remember if it’s the same seller?

I’m definitely not endorsing it (lol) but the door bell was probably worth more than the machine 20 years ago. Probably why so many crazy repairs surface.

Translation: "The trigger mechanism is broken and, despite claiming to have owned this pin since 1992, I haven't investigated how to fix it. You can replace this doorbell, but it will leave a hole in the cab." :rolleyes:
 
the most stupid thing is you can set the ball launch to the flipper buttons in the options menu so why install a fecking door bell 😄

pictures aren't great but looks like the playfields actually in good nick??, no wear around the lower inserts. Possibly a nice little project if it went for £2200
 
The question is, why didn’t the original buyer follow through with the sale?

Either it was a shill bidder, the buyer made no contact, or the buyer turned up, had a closer inspection and decided to walk away.

Exactly this. I used to sell on eBay all the time. Now I try to avoid selling in there and is only the last resort.

Yet when I do, I usually get messed about, especially with high ££ items.

If i am being honest i have been messed around on the info site more than ebay . Where is the obligation to go ahead with a deal on the info site when someone simply changes their mind whether buying or selling......like they say they have changed their mind,their wife crashed the car,i am moving house and the mortgage is dearer, my family loves the pinball and we can`t let it go , or simply do not get back to you after they contact you in the first place etc.etc. It`s all too easy to send off a message if you are bored and nothing better to do but it does my head in if half the time they are not serious in the first place. And before anyone thinks i am having a go a the site i am not, it is in general pretty damn good but some folk out there need to get a life.
