You forgot to mention the secret password.I would be interested, but I called the pinball club and they don't know anything about this being on sale.

You mean it's not a real sale? I'm kind of new to all this, I'm not sure how it worksYou forgot to mention the secret password.
If you ever see the words 'taf' and 'Sensible price' just run and dont stopI would be interested, but I called the pinball club and they don't know anything about this being on sale.

Strange isn't it.Keith aka @new forest pinball sells machines typically for great prices and does some excellent restorations. I would just PM him direct but I imagine many others have already
I doubt he'd be mad enough to say he has one but then doesn't as the spam on his inbox right now will be high!
Pretty sure it's genuine.Strange isn't it.
Perhaps a hacked account, the member has been registered since 2015.
Ok, that's what I thought.Pretty sure it's genuine.
40 minutes between the statement of availiability and your reply. That's a life time in pinball world trust meI know, the person I called didn't know about the pin for sale, so when I spoke to him there was no pin...
Nevermind it's gone...
That was my old one. My first ever machine bought in 99, sold around 2005, bought back in 2012 and sold again to the seller on eBay in 2014. Was tempted to buy again but decided against.did anyone on here get the big hurt that was on ebay ending yesterday? i missed out on that one!
I was just having a look at the Police Force. Looks a decent game, never played it. This is the machine they have in SWAT. I love that show.£1600 was good for it.
A police force has just come up on eBay and there is a nice looking t2
TERMINATOR 2 PINBALL MACHINE BY WILLIAMS | eBay
Fire your ball into play using the unique gun grip launcher. Vertical Up-kicker under skull kicks the ball through a habit-rail to the cannon on the right side of the play-field. The cannon then oscillates allowing player to aim for any of five targets on left side of play-field.www.ebay.co.uk
I’d like the strikes and spares but no funds atm.
Ok, I figure that I'm never going to get hold of one. Another 6 months, before the next one comes around maybe...40 minutes between the statement of availiability and your reply. That's a life time in pinball world trust me
It's fake mate.

Never trust sites on a 3 month SSL cert. They do this for short term scams.
If you want to import a machine. A couple of things you need to know.
Modern Stern's 'region lock' to stop sales of games outside their region.
Older machines will require adjustment to work on our voltage.
Use someone like coin-op king to import from the US. You can also try TNT amusements.
Hmm fair enough. I figured they were doing this to cut costs and avoid attention.I have no idea whether it's a scam or not.. But it's not true that you can't trust three month ssl certs. I've got production sites using short lived certs and auto renewing. Many large sites are now using short lived certs from letsencrypt, and letsencrypt have an article on the why: https://letsencrypt.org/2015/11/09/why-90-days.html
Just keep telling people on the forum that you're looking for one, and they'll keep an eye out.Ok, I figure that I'm never going to hold of one. Another 6 months, before the next one comes around maybe...
Great news!!! Well chuffed for you @VeeMonroeJust keep telling people on the forum that you're looking for one, and they'll keep an eye out.
A little story... Alien Poker was a pin that I had completely given up ever owning, as I was told there were about four in the UK community and their owners weren't keen on a sale. I realised I'd have to either import one from the States or buy a non-worker from James @ CoinOpKing for a price premium, so I gave up and bought a (really lovely) Flash Gordon instead. Lo and behold, after w**king on about Alien Poker for about a year, @Ashbo kindly alerted me to one on Gumtree last week and - if all goes well - it should be sliding into the slot recently vacated by our Lord of the Rings sometime in the next fortnight.
@Ashbo - I owe you a drink at Pinfest 2023!
Moral of the story, if you really want a pin, one *will* turn up eventually
Thank you @VeeMonroe for sharing your story, I really hope you get hold of that pin! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.Just keep telling people on the forum that you're looking for one, and they'll keep an eye out.

Pound to dollar just hit a 37 year low. I would avoid importing at present.Thank you @VeeMonroe for sharing your story, I really hope you get hold of that pin! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I'm tempted to go and get one from abroad, I found a few from dealers but with the new border rules it's a bit risky/costly.
Oh, well, I'll keep looking....
Agreed. I wouldn't import right now. TAF isn't rare here in the UK.Pound to dollar just hit a 37 year low. I would avoid importing at present.
Thank you @s000m ,I was more prone to go Euros to Pounds. Not ideal either, but if, and only if all goes through as it should, the total price works out at about the same price as getting one here.Pound to dollar just hit a 37 year low. I would avoid importing at present.
@David_Vi, I don't own other pins. I have great memories from when I was younger, I played many of them in the 90s.@Nilos do you own or want any other pins?
If you don't have any, I'd reccomend lowering expectations and getting something else while you can, you may be pleasantly surprised and then already have something of value to sell when a TAF pops up.
I liken buying pins to getting on the housing ladder. It's good to get on the ladder , get experience and have one to sell when the time comes.
Always fancied a T2. Im terrible at it like but thats not stopped me in the past. Suspect however this is going to go well beyond what I'd spendA police force has just come up on eBay and there is a nice looking t2
I know it's frustrating but don't buy from abroad right now.@David_Vi, I don't own other pins. I have great memories from when I was younger, I played many of them in the 90s.
I have been to pinball clubs and I'll keep going once in a while, it's good fun and a great atmosphere with passionate guys all in the same space.
I like others, but not too keen on owning one of them, but I get your point, it's a good way of starting from somewhere.
I just didn't want to get one for the sake of it, park it in the house and find myself after, with the one I need to sell, hopefully recuperate the cost I paid for and then having to buy the one I like as the same time.
I know, I just happened to like something which is difficult to get hold of.
Thank you @DanSeldon for the advice.I know it's frustrating but don't buy from abroad right now.
I was after a White Water for ages and ended up buying from Italy. Whilst I'm happy with what I have it needs more work than advertised and as soon as it arrived, 3 or 4 White Waters were advertised on here in the same amount of weeks.
Just have patience and get that wanted ad up.
Don't forget the wanted ad. If people know cash is waiting they might reach out or know a non-forum member who'll also consider a deal. Happened to me with my Twilight Zone.Thank you @DanSeldon for the advice.
Although I was meant to go to Italy anyway for other reasons, I thought I use the occasion to also see few pins.
But being new to pins, it's likely I'm gonna pick something which is going to need more work than I can anticipate.
I don't have the experience to see what you guys see, for sure. And I can see parts and the work that goes into it to fix, refurbish isn't just few hours labour.
Buying from a trusted source is the preferred option.
I'll hold on for a while.
