I fixed that game for the owner not too long ago, had no sound or speech or right flipper and a few other locked on coils. Its genuine.
Okay, that’s answered one question about it, thanks! 😍

Before we consider trying to buy this, how easy would it be to fix the sound/speech? Presumably requires a replacement/repair to the sound board, but I notice Alltek only do Bally/Stern. Presumably, you fixed the right flipper and coils?

I fixed it all. the speech and sound are separate cards. the speech needs the rom sockets changing I think. I reseated the chips and it started working. The sound board needed a new chip, then working ok. the driver board was repaired to fix the locked on coils (owner had cut them off the circuit, so i reinstated them, also fixed the flipper not working. When it left me it was fully working, so should be an easy fix.

Rare game ok price. If you want one might be best chance for a long time
This is basically one of my grail games. I was considering, at one point, importing a refurbished one from California. So, I’ve messaged the seller.

Our current problem is the same one that bogged down the Lord of the Rings sale. I can’t make unilateral decisions on pins, and we have to have a long negotiation about which pins are in the house and how much to spend on them.

Buy first ask forgiveness later....that's a strategy that's working for me ;)

The Williams square sound board could be used with or without a speech module attached; games without such as Cosmic Gunfight or Defender (including the video game) didn't have the latching connector for the inter-board ribbon cable fitted to their sound board. The late Bob Thompson reckoned that beside having a port for the speech module, there wasn't much difference between the square board and the 2-fuse version of the earlier oblong board - since the square board debuted in Gorgar, he may well have been right.

The speech module was also used for the System 9 games, attached to the larger Cpu/driver board

Really wish CG had a bit of speech.. :o

Hey guys,
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this question about a trader I came across on Facebook...
I found this trade on Facebook called 'Pinball Machine Supplier', they are based in US, they also have a website https://pinballmachinesupplier.net/.
I know they are based in US, so that involves, custom/duty taxes, shipping, handling fees, etc. (although, if you look on the main page at the bottom, it says they handle custom and duty fees). I don't how they can cover that, but anyway.
Has anybody had any dealings with them, or has anybody bought anything from them??? And can confirm if they are legit?

Thank you in advance,

Nilos

Never trust sites on a 3 month SSL cert. They do this for short term scams.

If you want to import a machine. A couple of things you need to know.

Modern Stern's 'region lock' to stop sales of games outside their region.

Older machines will require adjustment to work on our voltage.

Use someone like coin-op king to import from the US. You can also try TNT amusements.

ok, guys, thank you for support and advice. I didn't check the SSL actually.
What a nightmare trying to buy anything these days with these internet scams.

There's a fair few Facebook scams going on too.

If it's too good to be true....

I'd like to AlanJ, and would prefer to too.
But I can't find a TAF for a reasonable price (7-7.5k).
I think the ones at 10k are overpriced (ok, I know the ones full refurbished have had a lot of work done).
I'll keep looking out, but so far it looks like there aren't any on sales.

There are tafs about but you might need to up your valuation to get one.

what do you think it's a reasonable value.
For something that's playable but perhaps the cab is not 100%, playfield even if it's not so clean, etc.
I can't find one on sale, not counting the ones on fully refurb at 11-12k.
I mean how much do you think is a reasonable price, because so far I have heard numbers in a wide range, difficult to make it a real honest price.
Pinball machines have gone up in price lately, but prices are a matter of opinion (at least for the TAF), there is no real guidance.
I have joined all sorts of pinball website places, in UK, Europe, US, you name it, I don't think that pinball in a good condition, played, but perhaps not 100% cosmetically is worth close to 10k.
Am I wrong?

Always best to check the pinside thread for scam websites, which that one is on.

There is an official thread to discuss prices here https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/the-how-much-is-this-table-worth-thread.5286/unread

Addams is a tough one to price and will vary on the owner and condition widely IMO.

Buying one from the US definitely won't do you any favours. Just check pinside market place. Factor in import duties and then you'll realise it's a non starter.

My advice would be to offer a trade for something of equal value rather than pure cash.

We have a taf for sale. Sensible price. Can be sold as is. Or refurbished to customer requirements. We never overprice our machines at NFP 👊🏼 Can be seen / played at the awesome special when lit pinball club In Salisbury. @Moonraker
Cheers Keef.....😎
I would be interested, but I called the pinball club and they don't know anything about this being on sale.
