That spy hunter is up for spares/repairs and I thought I saw one a while ago in Scotland which needed repair but the boards/whatever was needed to repair it was unobtainable. Not sure if it’s the same one, maybe dodged a bullet.

Did anyone here get the nice looking/fully working Corvette in Cardiff for 2k? Listed fb Saturday evening & collected Sunday morning. Last one sold on eBay a few years ago around the 3k. 2k is a steal.
Not many Spys about so would be quite a coincidence.

Yep he also messaged me that he had adjusted the price 🙄.
Well he can keep his £500 paperweight for trying to be a robbin £&@#.
A deal is a deal even if it was a steal

Hi everyone. What's the deal with the spy hunter, how much was it previously listed for and has anyone had any word on what's wrong with it?

It was £200 originally. I sent messages which were read and not replied too. No word posted so far on what the issue is. It looks to light up in the photos but no scores etc on the backglass.

It was listed for £200 and a fellow member got it and was trying to sort out collection then he changed it to £500 which is pretty crap in my book,he says it was working but now isn't shooting out the balls didn't mention anything else.

Thanks. I'm in Glasgow so messaged him this morning and he replied 45 minutes ago with no details other than it was collection only. I then checked here for details on this particular pin and found it mentioned on this thread. Poor show if a sale was agreed then he bumped the price up based on interest he received.

I haven't seen the spy hunter advert. I don't need to. It will obviously be a chaos scenario and I like calm.

If someone who does not understand pinball advertises a game at a grossly low price, then gets inundated with offers - it is hardly surprising that they pull the "deal" when they learn a bit more about what they are selling.

If you think you are buying a complete game for 200 quid in this market, expect problems. Be that an incomplete rodent infested and rat ingested money pit and/ or weapons grade chaos with the purchase.

To be honest, we had a few of these scenarios looking for our fourth pin. Not as extreme as a full pin at £200, but things would appear on the market for a 'fair' price and the seller would be so inundated with offers that I'd need to either buy blind, or rush to the other side of the country at zero notice to inspect the pin.

It simply doesn't work for a family with young kids. I can't even arrange childcare for an evening at Special When Lit, and I've been trying for two months, never mind organising an impromptu 300-mile journey to view a pinball machine at under 24 hours notice.

Stingray anyone ?

I see a flash and a lightning in the background too (flash is in another listing - Lightning isnt)
It’s mine👍

I was bequeathed a rocking horse many years ago which I took to a car boot sale and would have happily sold for £30. a bloke approached me and asked how much I wanted and when I told him he said it was far too cheap. He advised me to take it to an antique shop and not accept less than £400. . . . I sold it for £700.

To be fair it was HUO, had been re-shoed and had limited gallops so I think it was a fair price.

Kris I quite agree but if the person said here’s your £30 then the deal is done.

I once advertised a wall mounted arcade game. The first person to contact me agreed the price. I was then inundated by people saying it was far to cheap and offered to gazump the fist buyer before he turned up. The first person got his deal and probably a bargain.
Honour before greed

Mr and Mrs Pac-Man project table with additional parts on eBay… Potential good buy for anyone with the knowledge…

The trouble with buying a Mr and Mrs Pac-man project is that once the project is finished you have a Mr and Mrs Pac-man pinball machine. Of course I'm kidding, but I'd always be nervous about the boards in a game like this, they get expensive quickly compared to the price of a working machine. Playfield looks rough as well.

Did it come with poo?

All those boards are repairable. pf is rough though. will probably go for silly money.

Always a big risk when you buy a partially dismantled game.

Bits missing ? Can you source them ?

Knoedgeable seller that realised the game has serious issues ?

Clueless seller acting like a bull in a china shop that has damaged stuff ?

One for the brave

Id have been tempted but I didnt have room for the last one so no chance of finding space for this :(
used to have one of these (Paid £50 for it :) )

A nice pinball lifter on facebook - look at the length of that!

🤣15k and blurry photos.
No pic showing topper.

But they have supplied backbox and under pf pics.

It's WILD
It has a faded cab and no colour DMD... 🤯

I mean, for £15k I’d at least expect a colour DMD… 🤣

I’ve dropped her a public-spirited message to let her know that I own a Fish Tales and think she should drop the price to a more realistic £2.5k-3.2k to avoid disappointment. I’m sure she’ll tell me to get lost (or completely ignore me), but that’s my attempt at a good turn for the day.

I had similar years ago. Used BiN for a TZ on ebay for £250. It was "non working" but lit up and DMD worked. Worth about £1k at the time. Guy honoured the deal but was inundated with higher offers. Including several from group members at the time and this was way before the popularity Pinball enjoys now.
Got it home moved a plug on the board over 1 pin and hey presto a fully working TZ

Priced to give newbies a chance to get in there no doubt:hmm:
