Tell Us Something (Non Pinball Related) Interesting About Yourself

A few (mainly) music related ones.

Got threatened by Bill Drummond and his lawyer 2 weeks into my first real job over the KLF/ENT single

Sadly all now a long time ago. The "highlight" of the last decade has been teaching a kid who was in Eastenders

Bearing in mind that KLF stands for 'Kopyright Liberation Front' I guess it was all part of his ironic/satirical aesthetic. Either that or he was in it for the cash ;-)

He burnt a million quid for a stunt too.

Went for a drink once with Bunty Bailey.
She was the fit girl in the A ha video Take on me.

During a tour of Scotland with a few biker buddys in the early 90's we all got roped into being extras in the film Braveheart.
They were very short on extras with long hair , even got to meet Mel Gibson .

The best man at my wedding may have been only 3 degrees of separation from royalty as his girlfriend previously shagged some chap who claimed to have shagged Princess Diana.
that sounds genuine to me. and i'd know, because my mate at university in Manchester 1992 says he shagged Kim Wilde on a skiing holiday, and her vag went a bit sideways

I vaguely know one of Kim Wilde's nephews, he's on a football forum I'm also on.

I scored 2 goals past Emlyn Hughes at some Sports Day back in the early 80's. He had played in goal for Liverpool on occasion whenever the goalie went off. Seeing as I was wearing a United top I'm sure he didn't just let them in ;)

After far too many beers on a night out in Leeds i managed to convince a taxi driver that i worked for the council and i needed a lift back to the office with a traffic cone and a road works sign. In doing so i would receive a bonus and i would be forever greatful. This was about 2am on a Sunday. So there i was in the back of a taxi with a cone and road sign.
I was about 18 years old

This threads getting better and better.

10 years ago I had 5 numbers on the lottery and the sixth winning number was 36 and my sixth number was 35. Out by one digit. Gutted! Only got £407.

I used to go drinking with some of the guys from Grange Hill and a few yeara go had some keys cut at 'Zamos' key cutting shop in Wallington.

Trevor McDonald sometimes drinks in my bar. Also had 'Jet' from Gladiators and her daughter in a while ago.

Catherine Tate lives a few roads away and I've chatted to her on a few occasions

I have met rick Wakeman several times. My cousin is Eddie Jobson (from Billingham up north!) a keybaord/violinist who took Brian Eno's place in Roxy music. He then went on to form UK with several well known band members, notably one of those was John Wetton who died the other day. Also met Kiki Dee and Bill bruford in loacl gigs in hartlepool.

One notable one was, I saw Judie Tzuke back in the 80s and ended up back at the private party (my mate stalked her although I dont think stalking was invented then so it was ok ;)) afterwards and the support band(Graduate) were there who we chatted to for ages. They became tears for fears and unbeknownst to me the guy I was talking to was Curt Smith!!

Oh and I was a Biochemist for 35 years in a pathology Dept in the NHS before moving into IT - Haha!!!

Also married the same woman twice as well, but thats another long story!!!

Cheers

Kev

PS eletrocuted myself at least 4 times, never fell of a ladder and been in 2 car crashes!!!

I used to go to Wembley stadium dog races and Neal Foulds used sit above us in the Box getting his runners to rush down the steps clutching huge wads of cash to the Totes. He was a big gambler. He lost a lot and last I heard was living in a flat above a shop. Sad.

My wife's mate shagged Jean Claude van Damme and James Cann (Dragons Den). Not at the same time mind you.

Some of my other locals are Andrew Marr, Omd Djalili and Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones Diary). Rob Brydon may be local as I've seen him at the cash point on the high street but don't know for sure.

Sally films in my bar on a number of occasions for charity.

Sorry, all Celeb name dropping rubbish.

I walk past Holly Willowboobys(?) house (It's very nice) on the way to one of my local pubs. She lives about 10 doors down from Anneka Rice.

Oh, and this is Pinball related. Richard Herring (Comedian) did come in the other day to do a feature on my Addams Family Pinball Machine. It was a great childhood memory for him. He was interviewed, photographer etc. He told me he very very good on the pinball Arcade version so I said it was exactly the same as the real thing (sarcastically). He managed to score 40m. He wasn't best please when I said my 9 year old daughter's high score is 110m. Nice chap so hopefully he'll be back.
