Stranger Things Pinball - now with Video reveal

Watched most of the steam and it is very similar to MM which isn't a bad thing. A lot of flow and I love the left loop to right ramp return like DP prem.
Theme integration looks very good and callouts from Hopper are a bonus. Interested to see the projector, not sold on it so far...
What's up with the drop targets Neil?
 
Yeah, I think the call outs from hopper are truly worthy of an Oscar / BAFTA
You can tell he’s really going all out, getting back into the role.....
 
I think the drops are going to take a serious pounding and need alot of maintenance.

Also worried about the the great m.inge in the sky and how it might get broken.

Seeing more of the stream, there is huge depth in the modes which is there was a challenge of AFM and MM was that the games where not very deep, this is not the case. I'm really looking forward to playing this. Two flipper fan layout wins for me :D

Luckily drop target issues are extremely easy to fix and sort

Its basically a plastic strip that needs replacing...

yeah - I've had no issues myself other than fiddling with the GOTG one but lots of folks on the deapool club on pinside don't seem so lucky.
 
Just viewed the Pro being played and it looks pretty good.
I think the added light show from the projectors and any other additions are only going to add to the whole experience.
Overall It's looking pretty good.
I was dubious on the layout at first but I like the flow of the shots and center drops are not looking like center drains I was expecting.
 
reviews from those who have played it coming in have a distinct Munsters feel about it. There is a bit of a previous thing issue here:

Launched at the end of the year/Early new year:

2016/17: Aerosmith - Turd
2018/19: Munsters - Turd
2019/20: Stranger Things - Turd?

It will be good to see the Premium in action for sure. I think it may turn out well in the end.
Part of me feels they've rushed to get it out the door in time for Crimbo.
They have a plethora of early adopters across the pond just dying to put it through its paces.
They'll have half the items swapped out in no time.....standby for some expensive modifications :)
It will be a polished masterpiece ............ or turd in time.......depending on how the coding goes I guess.

By the time it lands in the UK is 2 or 3 weeks no doubt there will be multiple code updates

Also just like GOTG give it 3 to 6 months and a massive code update will happen and it'll be the machine to own

@philpalmer only buys what he thinks he can sell... GOTG are highly desirable now but not many machines out there

Don't make the same mistake on Stranger Things
 
Never bought a new pinball before... But seriously thinking about it for this. (the LE looks amazing)

Are these a good buy? Especially an LE? Don't want to lose multiple £k in immediate depreciation.

Any buying tips? Thanks in advance.

As I said earlier as Lonnie is doing the code it will be a copy and paste job from gotg game code ( you can see it plain as day on the stream) then improve from there based on what mike and Brian say, with a veto on things he can’t be ****d with or can’t do!!

Yeah - Nothing wrong with his back catalogue.

We all know Stern guys copy and paste code. I bet it saves an awful lot of time! Of course the code is going to be limited.

As correctly pointed out - by the time the UK stock gets here that will be improved numerous time, and as we have USB updates it is very easy to update machines. No burning eproms like on his last games!

Will it be better than AFM - I will wait for it to land at Tilt and play it. There is a reason why I will not watch streaming videos.

Yes but Lonnie Ropp. Not prepared to take that chance after GB, Kiss and Gotg.
