Hope so, only person so far in UK interested in venom unless I’m wrong is @J85M
I hadn’t even heard of this venom character until recently, been on the planet 50 years… maybe I was reading the wrong comics as a kid ?
He definitely didn't appear in Roy of the Rovers, or Wizzer and Chips 🤣

That would be impossible to resist.
if they have pulled off the licensing for jaws it’s a major coup - having tried to do something with this license at BT it was a nightmare of confusion and not cheap. I personally doubt it.

Hold on. About a year or 18 months ago didn’t Neil stick his reputation on the line and state that Bond 100% would be out by this Easter? I seem to remember he was going to pay some type of forfeit if it hadn’t happened 😀

Anyone else remember that post?

To be honest I’m now a bit concerned that Neil’s forfeit will be turning up to a meet in stockings and suspenders, I which case I think we will all want the bet called off. 😱

How does these dates and the containers that come to the U.K. relate? Does each U.K. distro have there own container or do all stern games come via electrocoin? How often do they come over?
Just one container through electrocoin it then goes to the warehouse and gets distributed to ph hld and other places
I think about only 4 or 5 shipments last year and the same this year the next will probably be rush pro and Le and some other bits and bats if there is any room or any availability

If JP pro is on the line April when do you think that would hit the U.K do you think?

Haven’t you played Spiderman?

Just depends when they can fill a container no point in shipping 5 jp pro I would think they would ship with the second corner stone game so maybe June July

indeed but what I meant was the second game this year which was on target until Steve richie moved to JJP. it’s coming though no doubt about it.

So the rumour going around the past couple weeks was Stern where considering holding back the next release.

Well Kaneda just went public with that info stating stern have officially announced it (I’m assuming to distributors?) to focus on the backlog which is rumoured to be 10-15k deep.

If that's true, it's a good call.

in my view it’s nuts. But I don’t think it’s to do with the reasons laid out.

you are handing cash to the competition

so now folks will move 10K from Stern to JJP or other manufacturer.

sure there is a backlog but those folks will wait - let them wait, and how have the supply chain issues with the other games now been magically solved?!

How many games can Stern make a week - are we talking a 3 month delay or a 9 month delay? Either way I think this was always going to happen - Stern kept taking money for machines they weren’t producing and now they have to catch up, the delay can’t go on indefinitely.

Pretty sure the pressure came from distributors for Stern to catch up on this backlog.

Can’t be easy staying afloat with just the newest title in stock and Jack **** else available.

There are _zero_ titles in stock. except Star Wars and the Beatles.

Rush sold out. so I can't see how this helps distributors ?

look at Zach's games sales page:

look at Marco:

CoinTaker:

nobody has any games, PU just got a container in so they have some Mando's and avengers but nothing else.

Neil.

(PS just kidding about Star Wars, even that has sold out!).

Only repeating what the chatter has been, customers are not happy waiting 6-12 months for an order while the newest title releases, distributors likely passed that back to stern.

Looks like Gary himself has addressed the issue, backorders are taking priority. 2 cornerstone titles for this year only.

Stern probably laugh everytime they hear the word competition.

Stern are in a league all of their own and it doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon.

I have all the new games. so I want another new game and something comes - oh let me try this other brand... although I guess they could accelerate launches next year... or launch two games at the same time.

Exactly and why, in my opinion, it's a good call and morally right. Not everything has to be about bringing out more new titles than 'the rest' and losing out on cash from rich pinheads that must be first in line to get the latest new title. I'm pretty sure Stern aren't going to go bust over it.
