Spooky Pinball - Halloween

So the machine that was going down was an underated fuse issue, the fuse rating has been upped and has been fine since. Seems they got the fuse rating wrong.
Although there are a couple of other snags that should be sorted as the build goes on.
How people fit things never surprises me anymore🤷‍♂️

First and only time time ‘probably a fuse’ has been right then… ha ha ha , easy fix

Even the insert modes are lazy or perhaps careless. What it looks like is they couldn’t decide what the actual modes would be prior to building the playfield. So decided to call them hedge1-3, asylum 1-3, house 1-3.. I’m sure I’ve never seen anything like that before. Even the insert placement are sort of thrown together.

The guy who is doing the animated graphics was doing a stream on Halloween and not doing it any favours, he mentioned the Hedge Mulitba insert and said everyone moaning are too fussy and just focus on the game😂
Yeah it doesn’t matter it’s only £8.5k/$9k people are spending, I didn’t want a playfield that looked like Mirco had his hands on!!!

Batman 66 has something similar - it’s not ideal but it’s not the end of the world - I’d rather have that than pooling and chipping - they clearly missed this wit the ultraman to Halloween conversion.

I never noticed it on Batman so maybe it isn't obvious and not that big of a deal unless someone points it out.

Gossip from Kaneda is that spooky are still trying to secure more assets from licensee. They currently don’t have a lot!
I watched his stream from the Jack Bar I think its called, never listened to him before and will never listen to him again. Full of it and himself.

SpookyLuke has already said he is trying to get more assets, already have 19 or so clips to use 3-6 secs each clip.
Also said they have another year of coding etc to get on with, hopefully will be very polished by the end.

Think I would rather see looped scenes/pics than the animations at the moment, might grow on me.

Wow that really is poor design.

I was looking at ramp placement only this week during cleaning. Wouldn't this have been a better solution?

Come on Spooky, Gottlieb were doing it like this at least 30 years ago. It's a far better solution.

That Halloween ramp should have been longer with a couple of drilled tabs and the posts could have held the back of the ramp in place.

I have found the engineering on acnc to be very poor. Some questionable design choices such as no detection for the magnet and no real way of knowing if the balls are locked in frankenstein.
Not sure what you mean about the magnet - but you can see the locked ball in Frankenstein? There’s a little window.

Fair enough - never come across that problem.
Mine’s been pretty frickin’ solid since arrival, come to think of it. Only big issue I recall was caused by a loose opto connector.

Edit to add: Magnet works 100 per cent for me since removing the flaky resistor, which was included in earlier games, from the circuit - it was never intended to save SDTM drains.

Not got a precise date yet mate but it's certainly worth giving @philpalmer a shout if you're interested. It could be here sooner than you think.
When I spoke to Phil he said it could be as much as a year away. Honestly don't expect it this side of Xmas.

I think Gonzo has fallen into the trap of 'the pinball timeline' where days are weeks, weeks are months and years are decades :D

They said there is a big software update 1 October and they are thinking about adding to 2 more balls to be staged in the uplifters to speed things up.

Mine is down in the 1000's so its not going to be here for awhile. I reckon next summer at the earliest! At least all the early playfield bugs should be resolved by then...

Pin looks ace, great upper PFs and very atmospheric.
Also love the speaker panels 🎃
Watched the fog last night, brought back memories from early 80s but Halloween - much better.
