Spooky Pinball - Evil Dead

Exactly, same with mine but not as bad as Jim’s.
You know it was designed with 3 amp fuses but because they kept blowing early days they upped them to 5 amps, they messed up I’m thinking.
Is this something they’ve now rectified or possibly still ongoing (and potentially an issue with Evil Dead) ?

No it’s not been rectified but they changed to a different board they designed in house (Warden) for the next game Scooby but no idea how that one is holding up or if Evil Dead is using it. Probably is.

Your pretty hands on so you will be ok if you get any problems and Spooky will send parts to you direct pretty quick if you are getting one, the playfields are the best. You can’t feel any inserts, flat as a pancake and clear coat rock solid.

Would be good if they could finish the code on their other games, saying that I just updated to the latest Halloween code and it’s seems really good so far but that’s been about 3 years since the release to get to that with loads of issues/bugs on the way. Was never going to sell Halloween so it’s just been annoying for me and not a major problem.

Cheers Dave, seriously tempted, just need to see gameplay.

I think it looks great... Out of all the spooky games this is the best theme to date!

I loved the Evil Dead films and I think they did a good job and the right call basing it around 1 and 2 and around the cabin.

Art and call outs are superb

Fingers crossed for a Army of Darkness follow up pin

What does the pcb do?

That looks fun to replace
Especially if they label the cables wrong going into it, luckily I checked each cable before I pulled them out so no surprises when back in.
Spooky said yesterday on Pinside it’s only a 10 minute job, I know one owner said he can do it in 20mins but he has had his in and out so many times I’m not surprised😂

Didn’t realise that. Only just picked that up on Neil and Scott podcast..

Surely they will sell out. Neil’s right in saying the pin will need topper to retain future value, similar to Fishtales, whitewater..

Game play videos are out tomorrow. Supposedly two. One with Bug explaining the game/rules etc and one with no commentary.
I wish they would do this before they take orders, I know why they do it and can’t blame them. Might be a big rush after they show some gameplay, hopefully it’s good🤞

Yeah it’s sales tactic, focusing on FOMO alone, which seems to have worked.

They've sold 650 ish at the moment just on the promotional videos/interviews that they have already released. Some people are definitely waiting to see gameplay before pulling the trigger.

The gameplay videos will get the last 200 sold, if it’s good 😂. It will be sell out for sure though.

Anyone placing an order definitely needs the uprated topper with it as well.

I’m not entirely sure what the standard topper is. I’m guessing it’s the same but doesn’t move? It is it a standard flat plastic topper like the ones that came in TCM and Scooby?

Yeah there’s pics of it somewhere (either the Spooky website or one of the videos), just flat plastic with led strip I think.

Maybe the reason there was more toppers sold than cabs is people wanting to secure one without dropping the $ for the cab before seeing gameplay videos, thinking they can always sell on or take less of a hit.

Where did that info about more toppers than machines come from? That's not what I heard bug say on one of the streams, it was more like 70% of buyers bought the topper ( from memory).
