Slam thanks

Wow. What a weekend :)

A mega thanks to EVERYONE that was involved in the whole thing... I'm not going to list as there are those that have helped who I will miss, however a Big thank you to all :)

Nice to see everyone again... And those new people too (good to finally meet up @RudeDogg1 @Gaz Shiells)
Also great to see all the co-admins in one place again :) I did comment that if the centre had exploded then this place could have been in trouble ;)

And @SOUTH COAST SLAM Will - i dont think Ive ever seen you as chilled.... other than when the "pinball widows" re-appeared on Saturday night after shall we say what seemed like a rather good girlie session at the pub :D Your face was a picture!!! :D

Wonderful weekend - Many thanks again to all

Paul

p.s. @ianw - Great to hear about Dan's win in the lottery/raffle (Ian's Son)! And more to the Point everyone, Watch out for Dan in the future.... 149M on ACDC.... and he's 11....

Best....weekend.....ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Massive thanks to everyone who was involved in putting the show together, everyone who brought a game and all the people who helped out over the weekend to make the show so awesome. Particular thanks to Will @SOUTH COAST SLAM Ive @GrizZ Matt A (don't think he's on here) and Rav @Rav .....top work gents and well worth your efforts, possibly the best Slam ever

A special thanks from me to John @Biff Poi @TYHO David @DAFlippers and Robbie @Robbie for fixing the small EOS switch fire on my High Speed on Saturday and getting it all up and running again. Great job gents, it survived it's involvement in the Classics tourney without a problem.

Great to meet up with everyone as usual, play pinball and drink beer :)

Well done Slam people, what an awesome weekend and thank you all for your hard work. It's a massive undertaking pulling off something like this and it ran like clockwork - comps were great, awesome raffle, super pins to play and lots of happy visitors; I'm sure you couldn't have wished for better! Cheers folks.

The best show i have ever been to. Great company, great games great fun. Great Scott!
Cheers to rob, Mr P n Chris for putting up with me, and especially Chris for letting me try to cremate his HS :-)
Too soon to be talking about SLAM 2015?
One regret, not managing to meet my socially Awkward Cousin...

JB
:-)

Well done everyone! Had a great time and played some pins I've never played before. Even the Mrs enjoyed a few games!

Thanks guy's, finished clearing my games about 1 yesterday but Will, Rav & Ive were going for another couple of hours, respect! I am on here but not an avid poster, as Will says I am an old bald fart with a technology phobia!

Will can only call you fat after he lost 4 stone by stressing over the Slam and that has caused him to take ages deciding on what food to order and changes his mind before it arrives.
Good of you to lend such top titles to the show, your machines were in fantastic condition just a shame we never got GnR 100% working.

Respect to the Slam Crew for a great weekend of pinball and all the other stuff on offer. Loved the BTTF stunt at the front and what a cool car that was.

Totally knackered but we'll worth it all, great to meet loads from the forum and finally put a face to a name.
Thanks again guys.

Great show as expected. Talked too much and forgot to play that many. So glad the lights were turned down as in the previous years as it makes a huge difference to the venue.
BOP held up like a good un all weekend, except someone has taken the keys. Two on a bunch with an 8 on a disc attached. Please get in touch if you have them.

Psych tent - fab. Well done Ive! Well done to all involved !!

I have a feeling I saw those keys in Matt Vince's box of keys, could be wrong, I usually am!

Well done to one and all on a great weekend.

The only bug-bear was "top 3 gate" in the tourney when it could be 2 or 4 on each machine and not the top 3 on each machine as they tourney rules stated, still only myself and a couple of others suffered as a result, plus there was lots of delighted people who were 4th and qualified.

My thought for next year was pick Easter weekend again but hold the Slam over 4 or 5 days next time...! eg Thursday set-up and Chinese, party on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, open half day Monday then everyone stay to breakdown machines and pack up.

Amazing weekend - Big Thanks to all People who made the Best UK Pinball Event possible!!!

Machine of the show - AC/DC

Best Pinball Machine - Matrix

Other PINS I couldn't resist:

Godzilla
Mousin' Around!
Black Knight
Batman
Circus

Kind Regards
Lucas

was great, and looking like a killer amount raised for charity

Main reasons I help/go to shows is to help raise money for charity(on those shows that give to charity),help make it happen and meet up with mates I don't see too often.

Occasionally I even play pins,or at the Slam,it was Power Drift - yeah baby!!

Great work to all I saw helping out Friday and Sunday, usual faces-you guys rock:)

Yeah that bar is pretty high, great show.
The only thing is with all the interest in our hobby and all the new pinball people coming to the shows it looks like you have outgrown the venue which is a shame as it's where the Slam was born.
Onwards and upwards.
