G'day @James gatward we'll have support for whitestar games sorted (as well as sam) in a few weeks time, just finalising the dimensions and the differences between the wooden and metal panels. The bigger potential issue you may have with sopranos is tracking down the colour files for real pins. The project is still in WIP from what I can tell and not sure whether the real pin files were ever released. Best bet is to get in touch with the owner of that project and see what the state of play is

List is full atm but might be doing more at some point as and when the chip becomes available again. I'll take your name down anyway, pending that and the colour files 👍

ok it works just waiting for the colourisation files. But in the meantime anyone able to send me a cable to connect the speakers? I don't want to hack the old cable as I want to keep the original panel incase if I ever move this on the person wants it.

I need two pairs with the smaller spade connector and the larger ones found in car speakers typically and each of them about a meter long. I can crimp the board end on. (no don't have spade crimps and don't want another pile of stuff I use once in my life.

thanks,
Neil

Technical Question: Do we know if anyone is able to create true HD files for these displays of are we limited to colour overlay for existing graphics?

to do HD you'd need something to work before you get to the display part - ala how CGC do it.

Neil.

check this baby out! Its awesome. The pin2dmd is definitely not as good as colordmd but I'll take it for this.

Looks great! Thanks very much for posting.

Yes mate the pin2dmd editor has been updated so that the colour guys can create brand new HD imagery based off the originals (like, as Neil mentions, the CGC remakes). @slippifishi did this for the new creech splash screen as a proof of concept, but so far that is the only true, non scaled HD content. Unfortunately most (if not all) of the guys that do the colours aren't artists, so aren't really capable of producing brand new imagery based off the originals, so it makes more sense to find and team up with people who can specialise in that area. I believe this is currently what is happening right now, with LOTR first in line.

That begs the question… do we have any artists on here?

Quick f*ckwit question for you Pin2DMD eggheads ......
I have regular size Pin2DMD I might try out in my TZ, which colour file do I use ...the 16 or the 64 ? I did this before for Star Wars but can't remember having a choice.
