a wee update on all the info we have.
we have at the monent approx 22 pinball pledges and about 12 candies, with hopefully 28 wooden cabs. i will be contacting all pledgers in the next week or so to arrange uplifts of the pledged cabs. we would like 30 pinballs
im still rounding up cabs, so its not too late to pledge them.
for our english freinds, the heavy on tap is john smiths, a good pint im told
lager wise its tennents, carling, stella and i think carlsberg.
we have got the software and a projector for the scoring
nope its not me handling this 
cosine "mike" is helping out on the software 
thank feck 
and malc from schmups.com is supplying the projector 
there will be competitions all weekend i8ncluding "the NBA fastbreak tournament
this is 2 pinballs linked for head to head action. its a very fast paced game of pinball, high octane stuff. no limit to the number of balls you use, if your ball goes out of play, it is sent back into the game, think basketball using a pinball table to play. a major thanks to "northern lights pinball" for bringing this to scotland, its a first for us up here, well worth an entry. anybody can win this comp 
the scottish pinball open, this will be held over 2 days. entry is free, but you must register on the saturday for this. on satrurday all players will take 1 credit each on 4 pre-selected pinballs. the top 8 players will play in a final heat on sunday with the top 3 getting awarded trophys. the tables for both days will be drawn from a hat, each table considered viable will be given a number and placed in the draw, an independant person will make the draw.
for the video heads, we will hopefully be hosting a classic high score competition. i need to price things but at the moment its looking like "the jammaplus classic" this will be much the same as above. we will also be doing 1 or more high score competitions with a buy in

this will cost you 100 yen or maybe 50 yen, it depends on the slot 
each credit will cost you 50 new pence, at the end of the day the highest score wins 
the money will be split 30/70 with the 30% going to charity 
im not saying anything about these games, but we might need to bat grobda from them 
these comps will be run over both days. so if you fancy yourself as a "bit of a player" this is your chance to make some cashback 
we will be having a piper to play out the prizes
and hopefully some media coverage too, so comb your hair.

... its getting very close now, but we did confirm 5 candy cabs and a frankenstein pinball on sunday. we are now getting the cabling sorted, with any luck it will be ok on the day :bolt: if not well, we can just enjoy the bars :crazy: ticket sales are now moving we should have about enough to run the event :hail: im still working on some other things but hey, its looking sweet. im really hoping that everybody has a great weekend. i will probably end up bald with the stress levels i have :scared: but these wee face guys are the biz

anybody know where the glass trophys for the uk league were bought from ??? its either that or metal jobs. i should have some lined up for tomorrow, im also hoping to have the quote for the cables today.
tickets are still available from the coachman direct, we are looking good for a sell out :scared: we now have added security, idchappy has bought an inky and will be printing numbers onto foreheads, makes it easier that way

i just really need to get the trophys now, everything else is sorted :rockon: its all falling into place, niiiice. i will be wearing my sporran on sunday, along with my kilt :nono: the prizes will be getting piped in, and if your very lucky we will have some tartan on the trophys, cause im a tacky git.
remember kids, we need more pinballs, can you help ??? we have about 22, but would like 30. we can get them to and from the event, at no cost to you.

well thats another few things sorted, we now have the trophys lined up. the open will be sponsored by chaps heating, and the classic vid comp is sponsored by jammaplus, cheers guys.
if you would like to sponsor a trophy then it will cost approx £35 we will be having other comps throughout the weekend e.g. the sgt grizz high score or even the microsoft cup etc.
the trophys will be getting worded on tuesday, so there is still time to become immortal.

John. Got the Addams off site & doing it up. Just about finished apart from an intermittent switch problem, it occasionally gives a mansion award when the ball goes into Thing kickout. If I can get it sorted is it worth slinging in the car?
While I'm on here has anyone got a used main ramp fs? I figure there must be loads out there after people have tarted up their TAFs. Owt's got to be better than this one.

We will be running the Pinball Mania NBA Challeneg on the Saturday of the Scottish Open, entries will be taken on the day, trophy and cash prize for winner, entries from 12pm with comp starting around 1... we only have 30 places so get your entry in as soon as you get in the venue..

there might be a couple of candy cabs up for grabs, depending on what the pinball is, i might sell 1 of mine to buy it. but yes if you want to sell a pinball or 2 its not a problem, im sure there will be people wanting to buy cabs at the show.

there is a room going at the coachman, 1 of the j+ posse cant make it but has a room booked for friday and saturday, the cost of the room is £79. if you want the room get in touch and i will get the names changed on the booking.
