Pinball machines in a conservatory?

Lol. Theres something to be said for Heighways cab design where the glass lifts up. Strangely he never mentions that though.

70's Bally electro-mechanicals used to be like that - the glass, side rails and front moulding all lifted off in one. The rear ends of the rails fit into receiving sockets so that the glass/frame can hinge upwards, but can't be lifted from the rear end, and it's all secured at the front by the usual locking lever.

I installed the roof blinds at the end of the summer last year so hadn't experienced anything too warm until recently. I don't think its getting THAT hot in there but certainly too warm to be enjoyable playing pinball in there on a hot day ( I know, I should be outside enjoying it! ).

Anyway, I've just spent the last 2 days installing solar reflective inserts into the polycarbonate roof. Seems to have made a big difference, nowhere near as warm as it would have been without and a fair bit darker, still warmish but not hot.

Wasn't a difficult job to do, just time consuming and repetitive. Cost about £150.
