Pinball machines in a conservatory?

Well I've decided I'm going to fit blinds to the roof and see how they affect the temperature in there. It could do with them anyway regardless of wether I put pinball machines in there. Probably something like these

Everyone knows I'm completely OCD with my pins and I would not put them in a conservatory. Not only will the direct sunlight take it's toll on the decals and playfield colours, but the heat extremes could potentially warp the playfield, cause planking, crack the clearcoat, unseat inserts etc. I did an experiment when I had my previous IJ in the conservatory and placed a thermometer on the playfield. Even covered up, the lowest temp I got was 12 degrees, the highest 108 degrees! That wasn't even a good summer. I had a brand new pool table in there at the time and within 6 months the green baize had bleached almost white. I ended up putting full UV blackout blinds on all the windows and a black sheet over the machine, and had 2 radiators fitted. My pins now live in the garage with an oil-fired rad ticking away 24/7 and each machine has one of these inside it:

I put them in my caravan when I put it into winter storage there amazing

Might have to get me some of these - how long do they last?

Depends on how damp the air around your machines are. They remove moisture from the air and once the balls are saturated, the excess water collects in the bottom.

Mine have been inside my machines for months and are still dry.

Was thinking about buying a load of silica gel bags so I'll give these a go instead.

Just to wrap this up I have had blinds on my conservatory roof for a few months now and am very happy to keep pins in there. They weren't expensive but do have a silvery coating on the top surface to help reflect light/heat. They weren't installed until after the very peak of summer but I have been happy with the temperature in there that I've seen so far, and with small windows open and the internal doors open I don't think it will get unbearable in there. I have a few of those cheap dehumidifies off ebay in there but they haven't picked up any moisture so far. Of course only time and a good summer/bad winter will tell if I remain happy.
