They seriously better not!!!
I find it funny that the UK government have adverts telling other businesses to prepare for 1st January. When they clearly do not know what advice to give. They seriously better not!!!
Must be a nightmare though if you are short and have them in the middle of a lineup.
So what’s the trick if you’ve got short arms and a large beer gut?
“We support a level playing field with free and fair competition..."Not counting any chickens, but I suspect this is the first and last time I will ever welcome anything uttered by Liz “pork markets” Truss:

I believe there are some pretty stringent import taxation on China, in the UK. It's to prevent our country being flooded with cheap and often dangerous Chinese product. The European element is quite interesting, Stern could in theory ship a majority of raw materials into a factory in EU. Most probably don't originate in the USA (although many do), if assembled in EU, the tariff would only be applicabe on the US originated parts. Good theory, but it overlooks the simple fact that the US factory is probably heavily leveraged for the throughput it has today, sure they can scale up and down labour, but unless they own the bulding and machinery (from the walk round, I would be suprised if they didn't own that press as it was 25 years old they said LOL), the overhead on a dimished throughput would increase the manufacture cost for each unit.
Plus there is high barrier costs to production at scale that have seen so many others fail. Why would Stern invest that for c30% of their market?
“Britain will set its own tariff policy when it completes its split from the EU at year-end.”That news article doesn't say when though!
Atleast she see the funny side of it and goes with it!
But this is epic news! Phil roll the container man!
