I have to own a Metallica one day . Only played an LE though

Seems like they're never coming up for sale so thinking I'll have to bite the bullet at some point and go BNIB.

So is it worth the extra £2k for premium?

I'm in the same boat with a walking dead pro and premium. Is it really worth the 2k extra?
Well, not many of the Premium's /LE's are worth it really BUT unfortunately they are often way more fun to play and that is the case for TWD. Walker bombs and colour changing inserts just make so much difference.

Pro and Premium for Metallica are actually really different to play. It's the one game I can imagine having both versions of (which is ****ing insane).

Depends how much money you have. For me there's no chance I would be paying £2k extra, that's a while extra pin in your line up

There's a reason why none come up for sale, and Stern continue to make them - it's an awesome machine.

It's not just spinners and lights which make the difference between the Pro and the Prem, the hammer is awesome.

Really appreciate all the views here

I think this thread is starting to come down on the side of premium

I think I'm heading for a difficult conversation with the missus!

The 'they all cost £500' line won't work when it turns up in a Stern box and she knows how to use google .

Boy does she know how to use google

haha, the "they're a good investment" "appreciating asset" "Basically better than putting it into a pension" etc. argument might work ;)

Even I wouldn't say that at £8k. Although if no one ever sells them who knows what the value is!

The Premium sure has more features than I thought compared to the Pro. As a matter of interest I know manufacturers are secretive about production numbers but does anyone know or think they know current production count? As its been in production a while I figured quite a number had been built...

Is your hammer painted

This looks great. A job for @RudeDogg1 ?

My hammer isn't painted. I was going to get it done at the same time as Sparky, but couldn't get the fecking thing off. The one screw holding it on was loctited in, and while I was trying to remove it managed to chew up the screw head completely.

I'm beginning to miss it now - may have to return TWD to @kevlar soon.

Warm screws up first if they have been Loctited.

The question is then is it better to save cash and get a pro so you can add mods such as ColorDMD and a few hundred quid of the other nice bits and bobs that are about for Metallica? I couldn't not have a ColorDMD on Met.

Like everyone else I'd love one used but am a long way from the front of the queue! :-)
