As I put in my recent article, if @Neil McRae is tournament director, my money is on him using proper tournament software. Why is everyone overlooking that and focussing on how he wants to set the games up? In the latter stages won't the players have calls on which games to play?

Maybe because this a thread where Neil talks about how he is setting up the games? I think talking about tournament software is a bit of a tangent, but I'm sure Neil will be using Matchplay

You lost your money.

We’re using good old excel for the qualifiers and finals as there is no automated software that supports the format we are running.

In the finals players get choice of machines not in use. In the qualifiers it’s random of the games not in use.
