I am not talking about an investment. I am talking about losing a shed load.

But to be fair, an Elwin game should hold better than most.

Anybody who is that bothered about that shouldn't be buying NIB LE's in the first place as pinball is a luxury item.

Why would anyone want to lose a load of money, no matter how much you have!

My point was, historically, original themes (and this may be considered one or not) lose more money than licenced themes.

you do realise "a load" of money is relative to how much said person actually has? whats 5k to one person is £5 to another person...its not all the same, especially in a luxury hobby like pinball. But yes Elwin games are usually a hit, looking forward to the reveal on Tuesday.

But your right Elwin games are a hit so be fast or miss out on the LE's

This is the biggest issue with themed pins, people preconceptions with what should be in the pin. By just using a generic title and building their own story they have a lot more leeway. Look what they did with GZ. I fear that no matter how good HP from JJP is, it will suffer from this.

The halfway house between themed and non-themed seems to be the way Stern are going.

They just need to get their 💩 together with code

Totally agree, but unfortunately themes sell, you only have to look at American pinball to see non themes don't.

I will say though for me a theme I really like goes a long way and themes I don't if it's based on IP put me off, the game has to be super great

The code issue of there not careful will sink them, people will only be forgiving for so long.

Is jaws code even finished yet?

Looks fantastic other than the spider. I love a 4 flipper game and this looks colourful, packed & fun. Not too much missing from the Pro really that affects gameplay.
