JJP Toy Story 4

Bit of everything in there and looks like the gophers ramp shot in reverse.

It will sell and and be good on location I’m sure of it.

My mind was made up as a pass due to many reasons but I do like the look of it. I’m gonna play the waiting game to see what issues are thrown up on the 1st batch not that I have had any problems with my GnR I just think the CE is not as special. Gottta get my ticket booked for Tilt day though as it still has me exited to play it.

while im on anyone need to move a TWD or MET premium to make room ;)

Looks ok, the MASSIVE playfield screen looks like it was shoehorned in there though. I understand why but they could've easily done that on the main screen.

I love how everyone is trying to rationalize not buying it - this is pinball 😂

"Third flipper isn't full-sized - literally unplayable!"

"Nah it's got a big screen on the playfield - pass!"

"Layout has copied a shot from XX - boring!"

Nevermind that we haven't seen any gameplay whatsoever! :cuckoo: (You know, the bit that actually counts!)

You and your logic

So the pf display is for video modes...I thought they'd died out?
I LOVE (good) video modes. Can't understand why they died out.

I played Stern Star Wars the other week and was delighted to find an 'avoid the asteroids with the flippers' video mode. Honestly, it made my week.

I'm assuming we're not supposed to see this yet?

I love the way they always show kids running up to these pins. Because it's a wholesome Disney-Pixar theme with loads of toys and rainbow lights...

Whereas my five-year-old son just loves Gigi (an EM) and The Walking Dead

Honestly, JJP should just bite the bullet and make a Destruction Derby-themed pin with gigantic armoured battle trains, exploding dead people and LOADS of pop bumpers, and my sons (aged 5 and 2) would be 100% there for it.

Website has been changed. Just an image of the plunger now. I'm guessing the ecommerce department will be getting a kicking for releasing too soon.

You can still get to the video with the direct link posted above.

I was never the target audience for this pin so my opinion is moot. But I'll give it anyway.

The theme seems to be the main mis step. The colours of the art are a bit gross, it doesn't feel like Toy Story.
If it was based on the first couple of films it would be different.

I don't know who the target audience for *some* JJP pins is TBH. The Hobbit and Guns n' Roses, I understand, but 1971 Willy Wonka?!

Watching a video about the company, it seems they wanted to revitalise pinball by creating something that people would be desperate to walk up and play, with lots of fun toys and easily accessible family-friendly themes (like Toy Story or Wizard of Oz).

The trouble is that, based on the vPin versions I've played (and I'm hoping to play real versions on Saturday), they're simply less easy to understand for a casual player than something like MM, ST, AFM or Godzilla - where even a four year old can work out that a major goal is to shoot the bash toy. My older son fell in love with Stern Godzilla, aged four, because he understood immediately that he was a huge monster destroying a city and he got to shoot pinballs at the bridge and the building, to make them collapse.

All their 'family' pins look like rainbow puke TBH - at least from the pictures. I don't think they really truly understand how to get kids interested in pinball - as evidenced by the focus on rainbow puke and cutsey themes rather than stuff young kids can shoot balls at without needing to understand any rules, such as Rudy's head (Funhouse), a bevvy of pop bumpers (Gigi), the Demogorgon (ST), the Well Walker and Prison (Walking Dead), and the castle (MM).

Yeah, playfield art and colour scheme, just doesn’t really scream toy story, bit too washy, not fitting with theme

One thing I did notice from the short video clip
There is a pop up ramp, which provides an air ball shot
I wonder if lawlor, has re used the hole in one from gofers ?

So mechanically the LE is the same as the CE when it comes to the playfield features, just no topper or shooter?
