What are those 7 stand-up targets like to hit behind the rocket? Can't say I particularly noticed them when playing. Is it more about luck for the ones directly behind the rocket?

They are Spectre targets once you collect them all, you can start a mode to by hitting the stand up to the left of the right orbit shot.
If you complete the mode it gives you an award such as add a ball or extended ball save etc
Brilliant mate yeah I really enjoyed it. I'm thinking I might get it as my next game. Great theme, great assets, lovely shots, just a really fun game. And yeah Avengers is fantastic, don't believe the doubters, one of the best shooters of all time and all the talk of the code being too complex etc is wildly overblown, the code is superb.
I think this kind of answers my question about physically hitting the targets directly behind the rocket 'While learning the shot combos in Bond, I have become intimately familiar with the SPECTRE targets around the rocket. There is no greater sense of satisfaction than to sweep all the target letters with one glorious, precise shot'.
To be fair, release code was absolute garbage compared to other recent releases. What side art have owners gone with? I'm not really a fan of the official Stern black and white sketches side art. Looking on Pinside mirror blades or Wizard Mod WizBlades look to be a good alternative.
Same thoughts as you, the sketch ones are rubbish and the underwater ones are for the prem. I have just ordered mirror blades.
If there's no particular design that suits, or you like, you're unlikely to go wrong with mirror blades.
It seems lots of different companies release the side art (and any number of 'mods') the second a new machine appears with little to no thought about integration in to the game itself.
Just in case some owners missed this, @Devil-Mish pointed out earlier that Stern's Bond 1.0 stream is on tonight.
I haven't played a Bond since Pinfest but it was always a game I have had an eye on, really looking forward to watching the 1.0 stream actually.

This had better be the biggest update Stern have ever done after the way they have treated 007 owners.
You'd think they will really go out on this one I would think, with Gomez also being a big bond fan.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on a pro, but think I might have to swap out the translite, I like Dr No but it isn't my favourite!
I've seen there's a few alternative translites about, anyone who's bought one really pleased with theirs?
I quite like the montage one made by Pinstein on pinside but I contacted him and he's reluctant to ship to the UK and wants $90 plus $75 shipping.
He did say he would ship for free if I buy 5 of his translites, he's got some good stuff including Jaws, Stranger Things there are pics if you look on his pinside profile's gamesroom., maybe a group buy?
I realise Retro refurbs do the same montage but he warned me that they have just copied his image which is low res so probably not a good idea.
Or Xianek a decent option?

I have the retro refurbs montage in mine and it's fine. Others got blurry ones. The dr no original looked terrible
I too have the retro refurbs one and it's OK. I didn't know they'd ripped off the originator or would not have bought it. I'd sooner pay the extra money than let someone profit from another's hard work.
Yeah I feel the same way but the high shipping charge and possibility of import tax has put me off.

While sorting through all the new racking I have added to store parts for upcoming mods, I found a handful of spare boards and switches, so decided due to on going demand and what with Pinfest fast approaching, I would run a small final batch of interactive DB5 shooters to use up the spare parts, once these are built and gone I wont be running this mod again.

I'm watching Moonraker at the moment, the comedy elements in it are utterly ridiculous, I don't know whether to laugh or shake my head.
You've got the whole Jaws thing, a pigeon that does a double take when it sees a gondola on the pavements of Venice and the Star Wars/Close Encounters references.
I still prefer the silliness to modern Bond though.

Anyone recommend any playfield mods for the pro?
The flat plastic jetpack bond looks a bit naff, could do with something better there.
