🤣 Alan

You got it David. Pump and Dump is where there is a bank of machines and it's just highest score on any of those games and you can replay them as many times as you want. As long as you keep on paying. No need for consistency across games like in the ticket format, just your highest score on that machine counts. Excellent way of building a large prize pot. Perhaps less skilfull than the ticket format, but maybe less frustrating for lesser skilled players as anyone can blow up one game.

And when people saying bleeding out, or they have a bleeder. It's usually in reference to tickets where 4/5 scores are solid, but one is awful. And that kills the card. Andy had a card like that with RoboCop as his bleeder, it bled down to scoring him zero points. Even with 4 very good other games, you aren't qualifying if you literally score nothing with one of your games

NOne of us qualified for main either sadly but Andy still the bright hope for high stakes!

Whats the A and B divisions in the open all about?
From the INDISC site:

Any player ranked in the top 250 of the World Pinball Player Rankings at the time the tournament begins shall not be eligible to play in any “B” playoffs. If a player is in such a position, the next lower eligible player shall qualify instead. The previous year “B” division INDISC champions must enter the “A” Division at the following year’s tournament. At the discretion of the tournament officials, any other player whose past tournament performance indicates that they should be treated as an “A” player may be ineligible for the “B” division. [They probably know who they are.]

I have just finished watching coverage of the ladies division. The commentary is great, love the humor.
Also good to see pins in the comp I haven’t ever played before like Rock which looked like good fun.

So andy qualified for high stakes but main is running late and several of the players overlap so if you are staying up to watch it’s probably another 60 minutes.

It feels like a really good finals bank for Andy this. Pinball Magic, Taxi, Tron ... Fingers crossed.

Stream is following the other group at the moment but Andy off to a good start after the first two games

Annoyingly after the tournament had ended they let us play the games:

Party Zone: 24M
Turtles: 12M
Diamond Lady 11M
godzilla 250M
dirty Harry: 750M

which would have qualified me.

Something about approaching a game during competition that just spooks me. Something to work on.

just say though what a fantastic week. Jim Karl Jay Chuck Damien Bob put on an amazing event and they all worked flat out. Seeing lots of folks (bot not everyone) for the first time in a while was amazing and playing games I’d never played before what a lot of fun.

Whilst it was very hard I loved every minute of it and will be back next year.
