Have we really come that far?

This thread should win most pointless thread of the year
Not if you're willing to PM Rob and ask who it is. I can see why Rob is holding back bringing it public, its just a shame the seller doesn't put their hand up and say, "oops sent wrong legs and forgot to take balls out, my bad Rob, let me send you some dosh for your new legs and levellers".... job done!

Original post must have been meant as a threat to the seller, rather than a “make people aware” this thread needs deleting, pointless#

I feel for the next person who buys from seller, clearly they will have to deal with the issue all over again,

I think the thread is useful, still raises awareness & a reminder to check & double check condition with seller, ask for more pics or a video etc
100% - especially when buying and not collecting yourself. Its gutting having driven a long way and seeing a different pin to that described. Worse if you get it delivered, even worse if its not been packed up correctly.

Rob, did you accept the replacement legs offered when it was discovered Martin took the wrong ones by mistake?

Think it's important to get both sides of the story before people make their minds up.

Maybe there were mistakes made but you've dropped a smear bomb and then not followed up.

I'm also not sure you can remove the pool balls and with them being captive I wouldn't have thought it nesseccery.
[Edit - pool balls not captive, so fair comment]

I'm keeping an open mind on this until the facts surface and I'd encourage others to do the same.

Moral of the story is: avoid suprises by viewing in person.

All the best,

Tim

I'm not really buying that excuse considering all the other factors. Martin is very good at what he does. Martin was given the wrong legs, we can agree on that. I'm not the only buyer to have a similarly bad experience from this seller recently. So like I say, buyer beware. Seller - do better.

I'd go the other way, seller beware.

You have the potential to be slagged off in a public forum, before contact has been made with you to try and address issues, and even when you do it continues.

back for one post only.

Steve Brum is the culprit and it’s not the first time.

Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Absolutely epic. And that's the Pinballinfo Christmas Pantomime over for another year. Book early for next years performance.

It's unfortunate but every so often certain people need a kick up the ****. A leopard can't change its spots. It can learn to hide better.

I haven't been on the forum much in the last 6 months but it's quite obvious that the lack of Neil is taking it's toll. I probably won't be on again now for a long time so use this thread as a reminder to be cautious. Don't take people at their word. Give them a list of how you want the machine to be packed. Insist on photos of everything. Insist on videos of it working. Insist on videos of it during diagnostic tests.

For me though, I think that's the last machine I'll be buying. It's going to be a full restoration now. Probably will take me years as I don't have time for that. But it will be nice eventually.

Merry Christmas xx

One last thing: Don't ever doubt Martin. Don't ever use him as your dog ate my homework excuse.

@Rob zombie I have a nice set of legs. Probably 8 out of 10 (Bally Williams WPC legs) with levellers. If you want them - message me fella. Not sure on bolts. Will have to look.

It sounded like the seller offered to send the correct legs. I don't think Rob explained why he didn't want them
