Have we really come that far?

Have we really come that far now that buying a £2000 pinball machine from a well known member of the community means receiving a machine with legs that look like they came out of a swamp? covered in rust and tape? Odd sized bolts? Only 2 leg levellers? Completely wrong sized legs for the machine? Backbox lowered with no padding on the rails? Heavy moveable objects left to fly around the playfield during transit? Only one out of three balls provided?

Not naming names (yet) but definitely rant worthy!!!
you ain’t a newbie. Did you get pics before you committed to buy?

£2k is project level these days y’all know !!

ps i am NOT the seller.

To be fair cue ball wizard must be quite a rare game and for it to be someone quite well known shouldn’t be too hard to connect the dots !

This was disappointing. So can I check, what date and year at 10:30 p.m. GMT is this happening?

I fell asleep lol Getting old!!

I think most people know who it is anyway. It doesn't require an enormous amount of detective work.

Very disappointing experience and a lesson to everyone. Do not take people at their word, no matter how well known they are. Insist on photos. "Good condition" is subjective, and can mean wrong sized rusty legs that came out of a swamp with no levellers and misc sized bolts (try hunting for a different socket with a machine balanced on your leg). Well known seller can mean packed and shipped in the most careless way imaginable. Including not telling the buyer it's shipped and giving Martin the wrong phone number.

Buyer beware.

Why not just say who it is plain and simple, rather than all this you can look up and find out etc, new buyers need to know who to avoid, that is the idea of a forum, trust and good reputation, a simple search for a new user on someone’s user name will show up both good and/or bad feed back, this thread is utterly pointless at present, and is just showing you as a bad buyer I’m sorry to say,

Yeah actually, thinking about it, it's probably not an easy search as the game name wasn't mentioned in the original post.

I'm going to offer a set of very rusty legs as 1st prize to anyone that can name the seller in a PM to me (excluding the 2 people who already have).

It’s easy when you think about it … great work gang no scooby snacks this time but the man is none other than …. You’ll have to wait for next time on scooby doo the mystery of the midland pinball prankster 🤫
