Has something happened to the image quality on uploads? Seem to be mega compressed and low quality after upload now
Now using Webp for images - Cant say i have noticed a difference at all (I'm using a desktop @ 3840x2160 predominently) - and i was looking very closely at image quality before going that route...

Do you have any examples please Jim?

(Example here - uploaded yesterday)...

1724169571336.webp

Also, not sure if mentioned yet, my email notifications don't show the images, just placeholders ending with '.webp' instead, might just be me or my Outlook client..was OK before

Interesting - Mine didnt work before, and still doesnt :D :D

I'll put that on my "investigations" list for later!

Thanks Paul, just switched to the New Outlook (horrible) to test and that does indeed display the correct .webp images, so is looks like an email client issue. Cheers!

I was just about to say - ive just done the same and it works fine.

I also checked on my Iphone 14 ProMax and that displays the images fine.

There's a compatability matrix here for mail : https://www.caniemail.com/features/image-webp/

Edit : further investigation shows that Mail and Calendar apps from microsoft (so presuming those included in office) will be replaced later this year... so unfortunately the likes of you and me need to find a replacement or put up with the "new" outlook :(

Yeh i saw that. does seem a bit hit and miss... some look great, others dont.

I'll beed back to the developers and see if there is anything that can be "tweaked" to improve things... thanks for letting me know (as i hadnt noticed it!) 👍 👍

Anyone else having trouble with very delayed e-mails?

I am on Outlook (Hotmail) and e-mails are arriving late. Some a few minutes, some a day later.

@Paul any issues with e-mails?
