You and Neil are more similar than you realiseYeah. It’s banter. That’s what I mean by trolling I’m aware of my own deficiencies and one of them is deliberately saying stuff to provoke people

like you've not changed your post before willI saw it mate and thanks appreciate it
The Naughty boy had to withdraw and edit his nasty unfounded comments but it's remembered.
And one of the main reasons those who you mentioned don't get involved so much now is pretty much due to that one individual.
quite possibly the worst insult I've ever had in my thirty years of winding people up on Internet forums - that's you off my Christmas card list DaveYou and Neil are more similar than you realise
another one! its hard being me**** me I missed this one! This isn’t trolling, this is just weird. Watch out @Neil McRae, looks like you have a stalker.
Oh for sure the majority of the posts involving you require careful editing or outright deletionlike you've not changed your post before will
Tbf I’m here mostly still posting about PopeyeIt’s a shame members feel the need to snipe at each other. People come and go in this hobby and others dip in and out as circumstances change. That’s just life.
People like @Will @Sgt GrizZ @Matt Adams contributed massively to this hobby and kept interest going during the dark early years of the millennium. Just because newer members weren’t around to see it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I regret that for whatever reason they don’t feel able to contribute as much any more.
And not enough of it. More Popeye, less bants I say.Tbf I’m here mostly still posting about Popeye
WHAHAHHAHAHH! I’m nice, reallyquite possibly the worst insult I've ever had in my thirty years of winding people up on Internet forums - that's you off my Christmas card list Dave
Sure. In that rats nest of wires tthe purple cat5 wire was for a mame setup i had, yellow and black wires are for the blue led buttons, the original harness is over to the left)I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my KI2. Not enough buttons on MK2 to play MK3 and don't want to butcher it. Any chance you could show the internal setup?
Ahh sorry mate, I meant the board setup. I was going to put MK3 into KI2 so I don't have to add the run button on MK2. Just curious how you setup multiple boards and switch between themSure. Oh nice! That sounds perfect. Cheers!I have a jamma swittch board that has a little remote. Exactly like this one.
Some folk earn a fortune and a 10 grand pinball machine is akin to a decent weekend away or a single hand of blackjack.I was genuinely curious about how people fund very large cocollections
I doubt many 24 year olds on 147k have much time to play their games though. Those law firms are notorious for getting their “billable hours”.
Most people I know who do earn mega salaries have absolutely zero interest in pinball. I’m sure there is an occasional footballer who might casually drop 10 grand without thinking on a game but is that enough to keep a manufacturer going?
The average salary in the uk is still around 30k. Prices have already been pushed way above this level
Factor in the cost of paying for housing/kids etc and it rapidly becomes hard to justify tying up 20-30k in games.
I don’t own a machine, and unlikely to do so ( unless I get a cash windfall at some point )I’d actually go as far as to say it’s a pretty inclusive hobby.
There are some very generous people both on the forum and in the leagues.
Realistically I’m unlikely to own many of the newer games but I’ve had invites to play GnR etc from several people.
I’m sure there are some people who hoard their games away but there are equally a lot of people happy to throw their doors open and invite random strangers into their house to pay with their expensive toys.
You don’t need to own games to be part of the hobby

"What I find incredible its folks who have been in pinball for years claim to be one of the good guys and all knowledgeable in pinball; moan about prices all the time then try and stitch people up with half baked piles of junk dressed up as "mint" for thousands of pounds more than they are worth!
Regards,
Neil.
Or maybe you got it wrong??? I believe it's not unheard of that you might be wrong
Really? That's a bit odd.So I can't find a way to respond without getting put in the penalty box but I gave up worring about what certain type of folks in the world think if I'm wrong a long time ago. But on this I'm pretty comfortable not being wrong too!
Regards,
Neil.
**** me, if this is the sort of discourse we can look forward to with the new warning system in place then I think we might actually be worse off. Gloves off is much more fun to watch.
Hey Guy you know me , I like the old school ways , but we live in new times as of yesterday.
Ah the good old wild west days of the ukpinball yahoo group. Miss the free for all, don't miss the endless digest emails. How times have changed.
yeah I should have added something about actually reading what I wrote to my previous post on this thread.**** me, if this is the sort of discourse we can look forward to with the new warning system in place then I think we might actually be worse off. Gloves off is much more fun to watch.
