Some PROC hybrid going on here, must be a lot easier to put all together, less wire by the looks of it too.

Still never understood why the boards are pressed up against the wood like that. Surely the vibration will cause issues eventually. I'd imagine Bally/Williams used stand offs for a reason back in the day.

Yeah it does look tight, maybe there are some small post rubbers are there for stand off. I was nerding out on it, it looks nice under the hood, good to see they haven't totally abandoned PROC but I think they will one day.

Makes perfect sense if you like 90's pins, you will love this machine

Some people like the simpler rule sets and easy shooting machines from that era
i *love* the 90's and early 00's machines best for this exact reason, yes. But i'd rather have an original than a remake, partly because they made things better and some lessons have just not been learned: a perfect example just got quoted, why are the boards so close to the wood? i bet there is a good reason that BWS and others did that, that has since been abandoned because someone realised they could save $25 per machine on shorter posts and wires or some other equally shi_t reason.

I agree that this game looks the dog's bolloc_ks (apart from the weird decision to make Alice an OnlyFans model with massive ti_ts rather than an innocent little girl) but whether its gameplay ends up as addictive as Scared Stiff or Dracula 30 years later has yet to be seen. Ask me in 2054 (i'll be dead).

You picked some hard ones to beat, too early to compare to the greats. More addictive than galactic tank force? Probably.

How do people feel about supporting a designer who took loads of customers money and didnt build the machines? 👀

No $$$$ will go to JPOP. The design was bought by Melvin.. I think as part of the liquidity sale. JPOP has no claim on the DP game.

Think the upper playfield will be the Achilles Heal…

I really wanted to want one of these. Joined Phil’s interested list months back and was fairly sure I’d be sending the deposit over after the reveal. Big fan of what Dutch did with Lebowski and love the idea of another modern 90s style pin so this sounded like a great combo.

Unfortunately that upper playfield kills it for me without seeing proper gameplay footage. Magna flippers just aren’t that much fun and it looks like a major feature of the game. If it’s used frequently it’ll get boring - if it isn’t used much then it’s just in the way and hiding the ball from sight. I’d still prefer the latter though.

Frustratingly the video gives no real idea of ball paths nor how often the ball ends up on the upper pf so it’s impossible to get any feel for how it shoots at this point. Bit disappointing really.

WCS84 and TOM.

CV is notoriously 'very pretty and expensive, but just okay to play'.
TOTAN is completely broken rules-wise - I played it twice at Pinfest and got halfway to wizard mode. I'm a s**t player so that shouldn't be a thing.

Both of them look very nice though.

I’ve had CV for well over a decade, have had both TOM and TOTAN in the past, and have a TOM here on loan at the moment. CV is easily my favourite of the three even though I think TOM is the better looking machine.

Also the money Melvin paid for these items went towards repaying some of the folk that lost out..
Yeah that’s right. Melvin bought everything from a Storage unit auction.

He was very upfront and made is very clear when @stumblor did a podcast with him a few months back that jpop has nothing to do with the new project and will not get benefit from it any anyway.

Wait what...

What the **** happened to the art??? When did alice 'grow up' ???? As cooldan said looks more OF than it should be... jesus christ...

Also, show some decent game play already... code and rules folks! and lets see how good that upper magnet playfield is..

I think so you get better led brightness and less bleed to other inserts as bulbs stick out more in to the hole in the playfield and led surface mounted don’t, just my guess though

There’s likely a good reason they haven’t shown a gameplay video….

Let’s put it this way, according to Pinside, they’ve sold 300 already just based on the history/art! 😈

Still dont understand why they continue to use proc systems when they put their future support nightmares into the hands of a 3rd party that could do anything they like , leaving them high nd dry

And yes boards under the playfield is not a great idea especially for smd boards..

but no-one cares and no-one ones listens so we will revisit all the same problems seen on other games again and again

Support on these is gonna be 'interesting' in 2 -3 years time...

they really should just let people play the damn thing , i hope this happens freely at pinball expo.. and i cant wait to see how well all the mechanics work..

They colourised and slightly reworked the original concept that's all.

not looking to start a sub discussion but 'reworked the concept' is putting it mildly, i am aware of jeremys original concepts... They are not the same by any stretch and have a totally different vibe..

anyway carry on.. i'm sure its going to play absolutely amazingly...

Rather than spend time and money developing your own with the resultant risk of design flaws? I know what I'd do (use FAST!).

I'm wondering if there some sort of Disney copyright relating to Alice as a child. It seems any Alice theme none Disney is an adult in sexy outfits
