Dungeons & Dragons by Stern

Played D&D for the first time at Funland today.

Wow — absolutely loved it. Honestly shocked by how much I enjoyed it. Some really great shots, nice mix of flow and mode-based play. The D&D theme was surprisingly fun too — I’ve never played actual D&D, but I’m into PC RPGs, so it hit the right vibe.

The dungeons were a blast, and I love that they’re procedural — really pulled me into the world. The dragon was awesome — fun, rewarding, and just cool. I managed to get into a few multiball modes and they were wild, in the good way. The use of the shield during it, adds something new.

Fighting monsters, seeing them get hit on screen, and using the button to trigger weapons — it all felt fresh in a really good way.

So yeah… as you can probably tell, I was blown away. Now I’m not so sure anymore. I already have Godzilla and Jurassic Park and was pretty hyped to check out Kong, but now I think D&D might be the one. Godzilla and Jurassic aren’t going anywhere, and D&D could be the perfect change of pace next to them.

Really curious to see how the premium plays — Funland only had the pro, and now I’m even more intrigued.

In no rush, so will wait befor I try Kong (and hopefully Dune) . But deffo on a want list, and maybe Need 😀

I’ve enjoyed my handful of plays on D&D so far, definitely want to get more time on it to be able to get a full view on it. The upper flipper ramp shot is quite satisfying 🙂

I just found a NiB Jaws in the EU dealer network, friend found a GZ LE, so seems they don’t sell easily anymore.

Totally agree here stranger things is excellent , very immersive and shoots great one of my favourites . I have Afm also and never do I feel I’m playing the same game

Completely agree with this, I feel the same with a difference between AFM and MM too . . . similar layouts of course but very different playing experiences for me.

Got a D&D coming next week.

Love making shots after resting against the shield ( left orbit or right ramp ), it does feel like cheating though 🤣, especially when using it to collect an EB. I realise you don't HAVE to do it though. Really enjoyed playing it so far.

Yeah, those shots are great, can’t quite get the tap to the other side right (like on Powerplay)

It’s a great fun game, shots feel really satisfying, Dragon MB is a bit different with the hits v drains

Call-outs and music are great too

Pro not missing much from LE, hope the code continues to add, can see this being really good

Had a few more games today - Lich of Dragon Spear Castle is a bugger, thank goodness for saved progress as it took me quite a few attempts to clear all four phases in one game!

The Ritual of the Chosen wizard mode afterwards is pretty cool though

I played this at Tilt and really enjoyed it, but l did have a ball jump out of the left wire form and clear over the flippers. Anyone else seeing this problem?

I've not had that happen, unless it happened more than once probably just one of those things that happens sometimes in pinball.

Just not for me. Everyone likes different stuff though so hopefully everyone else is enjoying theirs
The dragon multiball on the premium is a pinball moment don’t get me wrong it’s really intense but apart from that the theme and art is meh ! Get ya self a Kong ordered !

I spent a bit of time on the pro at Tilt yesterday and really enjoyed it, it had me coming back for one more game. My only concern is once I have levelled all the characters up would I still I still be interested in still playing it? Once I unlocked all the characters on Venom I completely lost interest in wanting to play it ever again 😂.

That happened on the one at Skillshot, we just dialed the left flipper power down a little, as far as I know it hasn't happened since.
