Dungeons & Dragons by Stern

Played D&D for the first time at Funland today.

Wow — absolutely loved it. Honestly shocked by how much I enjoyed it. Some really great shots, nice mix of flow and mode-based play. The D&D theme was surprisingly fun too — I’ve never played actual D&D, but I’m into PC RPGs, so it hit the right vibe.

The dungeons were a blast, and I love that they’re procedural — really pulled me into the world. The dragon was awesome — fun, rewarding, and just cool. I managed to get into a few multiball modes and they were wild, in the good way. The use of the shield during it, adds something new.

Fighting monsters, seeing them get hit on screen, and using the button to trigger weapons — it all felt fresh in a really good way.

So yeah… as you can probably tell, I was blown away. Now I’m not so sure anymore. I already have Godzilla and Jurassic Park and was pretty hyped to check out Kong, but now I think D&D might be the one. Godzilla and Jurassic aren’t going anywhere, and D&D could be the perfect change of pace next to them.

Really curious to see how the premium plays — Funland only had the pro, and now I’m even more intrigued.

In no rush, so will wait befor I try Kong (and hopefully Dune) . But deffo on a want list, and maybe Need 😀

I’ve enjoyed my handful of plays on D&D so far, definitely want to get more time on it to be able to get a full view on it. The upper flipper ramp shot is quite satisfying 🙂

I just found a NiB Jaws in the EU dealer network, friend found a GZ LE, so seems they don’t sell easily anymore.
