CPR Fish Tales Playfield - Looking for help from an owner

These only became available last summer, I hope to fit mine soon but I might put it off again.
Better off asking on pinside or maybe ask Kruzman what he thinks about it and post a pic on his thread.

Here’s mine from a few months ago. It’s the only pic I took of the new CPR playfield, can you see how it compares to yours?

Here it is installed.

Cut outs look pretty similar to mine, your is a bit better I think. Looks good on yours all fitted so that’s good know😎
How was the dimpling for bolting mechs too etc, missing or positioned wrong etc

Bearing in mind I’d never swapped a PF before and was crapping myself it all went pretty smoothly. Mechs all went where they should, some of the screw guide dots were a little ambiguous but workable. Biggest problem was trough switches positioning, balls weren’t locking in the reel and other weird stuff as trough switches weren’t always being activated. Moved the whole unit 1/4” and bingo! Worked flawlessly since,
Alan

Same with me, not looking forward to it but once I get in the mood I will go for it.
Thanks for the heads up😎

Today I have stripped down a Dirty Harry, what a pita!
I could have easily smashed the playfield as the magnet core had mushroomed so much it wouldn’t come out but very luckily I managed to screw it out upwards🥳

Alan's lines up a lot better particularly in the Lie rollovers area. However, Alan's does look like an old screen printed playfield (with Gold/Silver/Bronze rating) given the gold rating badge at the bottom of the playfield (which will now be hidden by the apron). It does prove that there is a difference between the screen printed playfields and digital printed ones.

I suspect that this could be an alignment issue with the digital print process. it may have started off all being correctly placed but repeated printings has cause the alignment to move slightly - you could call it operational drift (over a given time) which is something both safety and quality processes try to look out for and prevent from happening.

That is the ‘official’ Bally Williams hologram. I have that on mine too.

I think you are spot on though, mine is definitely out of line.

That sticker is on mine so doubt it’s screen printed, looks like the same print as mine.

Just send the ****ing thing back and make sure cpr cover the costs and send a new one as a “replacement” to avoid double import vat/duty issues.
