Bram Stokers Dracula - The now sorta shop log.

Should be a hex post which a bolt screws into the top
That's definitely missing. I also seem to be missing a hex post for the left ramp.

The castle lock ramp seems to be having issues too. Balls will sometimes fly off the ramp. Should this have a hex post too to raise it higher or does it go straight onto the centre plastic.

I'd love to get some new plastics and a playfield. But that's looking real expensive.

You need to ask someone that still has a bsd I can’t remember. Pretty sure all the ramps and the moulded plastics are all supported by hex posts of varying sizes

Yes they are. I can take pics in the morning. I'm still waiting to fit lights in that room

I tried to get a pic of the hex post for you. I think it's actually cylindrical, very hard to get access to it... and I see I have a ball trapped in there again! But that definitely solidifies the whole ramp. Without it screwed down it's free to flap around.

Thanks for this. I'll get some pictures of some of the ramps I need clarification on. I'd love to replace the ramps as they are worn but no one stocks any plastic ramps!

Might get some new decal stickers at least for them.

I'm going out shortly and will probably put this back together when I get back, so here's pics of all the ramp connections I can see...

Here's mine definitely missing a hex post on one ramp.

PXL_20211226_113925561.jpg

This ramp attaching to the centre plastic is giving me grief, when the diverter drops down to feed down the castle lock ramp it falls off the ramp. I raised the ramp up with washers which helped a bit but I've since reset it back to one washer while I make amendments.

Looks like you are missing a hex post on your right ramp?

Me left exit on the slingshot is also a pain sometimes the ball spits out and drains.

Any idea where I get covers for the ramp switches?

For the ball exiting at the sling and draining. Sometimes you have to slide it over slightly, you can see there's room to move it.

No joy. I think the ramp not being bolted in further up is causing ramp vibration. Will check on this when my hex spacer arrives.

Question:

These Williams lightning bolt flippers are shorter than standard. Does anyone know if you need to buy specific flipper rubbers for them vs. standard flipper rubbers?

Another case for a slow mo video!

Standards is right. I asked the same question for my Fish Tales.

well i did have pics of the stripped playfield with just all the posts in position but it would seem I deleted them but If you search the forum for my shop log all pics should be in there I think

An album link of work done on my BSD hopefully there are some shots that help you;

Amazing work!

I should have got you to do mine. 😃

Can I ask did you paint your red font? It looks great if you did.

Do you have the red you used and how did you apply it, was it brush 🖌️ ?

Cheers, yes it was a tip from Pinball Ninja (aka Shaggy from This Old Pinball aka Clay)

From memory it's airbrush paint which is slightly translucent so it's more forgiven when touching up detailed areas.

I just used two sized brushes one for the fine detail and another for the broad strokes. You'll want a brush that can hold paint and give you a nice even stroke.

There's a picture of the paint in the album was bought off Amazon (currently unavailable). If you get close you can see some of the strokes but certainly much better than a faded cab.

Product Details;
28ml Magic Colour Acrylic Ink - Solar Scarlet

Thanks I'm in two minds to fix what I have vs. decal. Did you ever remove the playfield, was it hard?

Did quite a bit today.

Bolted in the crypt/coffin. Someone forgot to screw it in at one point, maybe during its light/coffin mod.

Took the castle lock ramp off and the plastic underneath to get to rat vuk. I added a metal protector. God damn it was more effort than I bargained for.

Moved onto the rails. Some twit engraved 'Magda' on the left side...

Did the right rail and shooter ramp too.
