The thing is I do know someone off the forum who would like one of these, and I also know the price they turned down for a below RRP UK spec NIB machine. If you'd listed this for sale at a price lower than the one I knew they'd turned down I would have sent it on to them - but without you giving any indication of how much you'd let it go for why bother.
What can I smell?

240 volts through a US spec machine ?
You think so if you listened to the people on here with multiple aliases, but nope, it's a simple procedure, no hacks, no aftermarket mods, own up pro's, own up now.
Let's here you cheeky beggars repeat the need for aftermarket parts and mods, you shameless rasberry tarts..:)

It is a basic job, no mods, no parts, no hacks necessary.
Don't let the multiple alias trolls fool you!

A man in the business, great, would you tell the world if I need mods, hacks, additional gunk or electro converting gubbins Mr @Tilt_Birmingham ?

And go on explain those numbers, did you carry it over from US in your hand luggage?

No shipping?
No VAT?
No conversion costs?
No ISPM15 crating standards?

Or simply no experience?

I have plenty of experience, I have brought and shipped pins from the US and Europe...

All you need is one of @myPinballs boards and your machine is all good

You're just upset cause everyone can see your profiteering and now you've marked this as pending to save face.

What can I smell?

No idea, but the person I was referring to is my dad who got me into the hobby 20 odd years ago and still collects himself. He’s only in his mid 70s and still in good shape so anything that you’re smelling ain’t coming from him.

Firstly, if MyPinballs or any other forum member states that his board works, I absolutely trust that it works flawlessly. But that does not take away from the fact that Stern themselves conduct a simple proceedure to make it factory standard.
And when others join my for sale thread to derail it and suggesting ways around the US electronics situation it has a potential to plant the seeds of doubt into less experienced potential buyers.

My point all along is that there is no need for aftermarket parts because Stern "do" provide the solution and there will be many on here that know this already, but kept that fact quiet, whilst others were also pointing out potential hurdles in the way.

I'm sure all your experience is all true, I'm sure your very knowledgeable too and far more so than me. But after all these years why detail a thread with professional low ball pricing, so I'll ask again, please explain your mathematics on what was at the time a NIB pin please?

You talk of profiteering like profiteering is a dirty word. I am not ashamed of making a profit, nor should anybody be ashamed of making a profit, it is for the market to decide what the market is willing to pay. That I accept, but your unfounded derailing of my thread under the guise of a professional trader has weight in the minds of others on here, and that I have issue with that, so for the world at large, explain your mathamatics!

I have the opportunity for a 2nd game. I have taken my chances and risked my capital in finding a reliable source. It was not the cheapest in the US, but from someone I felt I could trust. I have done the research and my converting to UK Spec will be done properly, without any additional parts and it is being done by Stern, this is the premium solution as they know their machines and their electronics and have the benefit of many machines and many cycles which will by far outway the number of test cycles any aftermarket parts have undergone.
Again, whilst I am 100% certain that if MyPinballs says it works, then it does indeed work, it was never disputed.

And whilst I am at it, why didn't the other knowledgeable pro's on here join in to state how easy the solution was instead of joining in to highlight the potential troubles, the conversion is easy peasy?

But don't detract from my question as to your unnessessary input into my thread. Because until you explain your maths, I take issue with your professional derailing. And when you do, you will see that there is very little profit for the risk being taken.

Why then, did stern go to all the trouble of preventing US market games from working in the UK/Europe, if they can then simply sort it out for anyone who asks?

They are not preventing anything to my knowledge. Stern themselves will perform my conversion.
Do you mean why isn't it easier for domestic members to perform, who knows, perhaps this is for the extra sales charges but I'm not the person to answer with any conviction.

As Chris has said these machines are selling for around £10,000 in the US, shipping is £400

So thats £12.5 including VAT

He's looking for a tidy profit

He's derail he's own thread 3 times now... no one would take him seriously now anyway

1. You ruined and derailed your own threads, you should have posted a clear and proper advert after you had converted it.

2. I am no professional, I do not sell machines, I only buy.

3. Math is easy as I said in the above post

Pinside 60th for sale

NIB - 16.3k USD - 13k GBP - Shipping £400 - 13.4k - 16k incl VAT
HUO - 12.5k - 10k GBP - Shipping £400 - 10.4k - 12.5k incl VAT

Your machine is no longer NIB so it would sit between the two figures. But I would want to see you properly declared this machine and paid the correct VAT before purchasing.

There is no risk in bring a machine over. Buy using a credit card and pay insurance on shipping.

You forgot crating and conversion.. please revise.

And then your post was on my NIB machine post wasn't it.

Why lowballing my advert?

While people can have differences of opinion on pricing and so on.

Why get personal? Why bring Neil into this... This is disgraceful and really is uncalled for.

Democracy won when it came to commenting on For Sale threads.

Appears there is some form of bias:
I:e:
1. Popular, long term group members get warm, fuzzy, cringy, jerk circle type comments
2. Not so popular, newer members receive more interrogation, triggered, unofficial moderation type posts. Even when peeps have zero intention or interest in buying.

We all like banter and a bit of a laugh but it’s a bit sad overstepping the mark when someone’s trying to sell something.

Just an observation.
