@Marcel you're overthinking this dude. Your situation is no different to anyone who has ever placed a For Sale advert on here - there is no set value of any pin, the market decides that, so we pick our best guess at a price, state it on the advert in GBP, and go from there.

I'm not sure your frustration or humour is translating well in the adverts - it's not clear where you are joking or where you are being serious, so they are just really confusing. Just a simple couple of lines description in an advert with a photo and a price in GBP would probably be best.

In reality if the cheapest price you can get one brand new from a trusted retailer is £25,995 and its UK spec (and presume it comes with warranty), none is going to want to buy one for the same price, or more in a private sale that needs modifying to meet UK spec

Feels like Groundhog day, did you learn nothing from the first 2 adverts? You'll have more luck listing a proper advert e.g. a description of the game with a sensible price <£25,995 and open to offers. Your rambling waffle isn't doing you any favours.

Your 3 post are bonkers and any potential buyer must now be very confused no price is it blown up or not will it just turn on and play no one has a clue
As for rare it’s not I suspect every distributor will have them in stock as no one wants the game at anything near rrp electrocoin have 4 in stock at Hadfields and ph has one probably more than any other James Bond model
quoting the rrp means nothing if you want a more realistic idea then look on pinside nib prices considerably less than rrp and don’t sell It would be interesting to see what a used one has actually sold for if sold at all
Marcel you would be better getting all the posts removed cool down and re list after Christmas with a clear price and an accurate description

The fist post was not bonkers @CHRIS B PINBALLS, everyone knows that every single for sale thread goes the way of price listed followed by direct messages.

It was a bit of fun playing with that fact! £225,000 was as bonkers as £29,997. Now it's at £19,000 it could be considered sensible, i can no longer be accused of what is still going to happen by interested parties, so what's the difference. Semantics!

Post no.2 was simply and extreme play in joining in with the degrading the game, yes post no.2 was stupid I agree, but i was joining the haters of the game because I firmly believe folks that want the game, will not be deterred.

Hope nobody is too offended on here by my stupidity, enjoy your Thursday:)

I think listing it at a silly price was stupid if I was a potential buyer I would have just scrolled on at that price if you had listed it at £19000 then you may have received some positive pm s but you have to look at the bigger picture you could probably buy a used jaws premium and Godzilla for the price of one James Bond le 60th

Your probably correct, but did you guys really believe it was £225k.
It's a forum of gamers for goodness sake.

I think your utterly confusing 2nd sale posting blew it for you - Quite literally as the game went from NIB to plugged in and fried !?! I’m still not clear on it.
Congrats on possibly the maddest for sale listing of 2024 though 🙌
Well i had to see what I was up against Grizz..

The point of putting a price on a sale thread is two fold - it gives an indication of the ballpark value the seller is hoping to achieve, and provides a price which if offered would be accepted no questions asked. Yes, you're correct that the public sale price often leads to lower offers in private, but it helps potential buyers to gauge how closely the price they would be willing to pay aligns with the price the seller wants, and also provides transparency that if you want it enough to offer the asking price then you won't be outbid.

For example, if I wanted a machine and thought it was worth around £8k, and one came up at £8k I'd just buy it. If one came up at £9k I'd make an offer. If one came up at £11k I wouldn't bother.

So, by putting a joke price up to get around the selling rules on here, you're giving us no indication of the value you place on the machine or the price you would accept if offered. It gives the impression that you don't want to risk putting up a price just in case someone out there might pay you more than even you think it's worth. Bit like sticking a machine up on eBay without a reserve price, and then refusing to sell to the high bidder if it doesn't end as high as you'd like.

The thing is I do know someone off the forum who would like one of these, and I also know the price they turned down for a below RRP UK spec NIB machine. If you'd listed this for sale at a price lower than the one I knew they'd turned down I would have sent it on to them - but without you giving any indication of how much you'd let it go for why bother.

Exactly this!

If a machine is for sale at a price I will pay, I will immediately buy.
If a machine is for sale within £500 of the price I will pay, I will message the seller and offer £250/£500 below
If a machine is more than £500 above the price I will pay I don't even bother

I was not circumnavigating and rules in my mind. Seems consensus disagrees.
You are going down the same route as posts 1 and 2. You are just digging yourself into a hole with weird humor that at best is confusing, otherwise just unfunny and not helping the sale, (if it is an actual sale).

As Chris has said these machines are selling for around £10,000 in the US, shipping is £400

So thats £12.5 including VAT

He's looking for a tidy profit

He's derail he's own thread 3 times now... no one would take him seriously now anyway

This One will have to go to EBAY. I will be stunned if anyone buys this on here after this debacle of a trilogy of the most strange posts I have ever read regarding a for sale ad. Always time for a bit of humor fun but I genuinely thought I was missing something, anyways, I’m out.
