I noticed something strange which I guess is a P3 thing. Saw this a few times on this stream, if you flip early when the ball is coming down the inlane but still short of the flipper, the vibration caused by the way the flipper linkage works hits the ball away without it even touching the flipper, like a tap pass from the inlane guide. You can see it in this video at approx 2.01.21, especially if you slow the video down ( yes I'm that sad :D )

@Neil McRae did you ever get to play a Weird Al?

News building around Scott Ds next release on the platform and I dunno... still think Weird Al looks really, really fun. Feels like Multimorphic might be going somewhere exciting in the next 6 months.

yup,

I was underwhelmed. I knew nothing of weird al but after watching a few of his videos on YouTube I was quite excited. So I played it at TPF and like all other P3 games it still doesn't feel like pinball to me long shots to the back of the game, yes there are a few additions that has improved this but for me by ball 2 of my fifth game I was done with it. Its like a clunker without the clunk sound. For me these games sit next to the crane games and should have ticket dispensers on them.

Scott making a game will be its real test though. Can he make something that feels different to the other P3 games or not? I think the modularity of P3 is actually its Achilles heel. If P3 made completely unique games using their technology with different sized screens then perhaps it would be better. Alot of talk on the flippers improving on this game and that is true, not so much in the flip but in the noise/haptics of flipping which is an improvement over what was there before but still not quite what we are used to.

Sit next to the crane machines! Ouch LOL

I wonder if P3 would ever just stick a normal pf (no tv) in there just for a laugh to see what sales would be like hehe? (could have tons of little tvs over it maybe?) But open the platform up to ppl who prefer more traditional pinball?

Has anyone tried programming a full P3 machine? I'm starting to think about writing a game again and thinking of a donor machine to convert and recode.

A full P3 that's setup for it from the outset seems like a good platform to start with, but if the shots are rubbish then it isn't going to feel great.

I've not seen any over here, anyone got one?
