please someone explain this to me because I've no freaking idea what this amazing theme is?
apparently this guy is big in the US.
I dunno, has two flippers some some slings and pinballs, only difference is the pf is a monitor, I think they could make more traditional style games to get more appeal from your standard pin head but they do like to make more video style stuff I guess to make full use of the large screen. Why are we even discussing P3 on a pinball platform? It's not pinball. It's all engineering and no fun.

Be cool to see a more ‘classic’ set of titles where the pf is mostly static with fake lamps etc… so feels more like a pinball.
Ah so this was you then:nope, the 90's I was too busy I barely watched/listened/saw anything, It was work work work for me.
I totally agree, even though I haven't played one yet... They're taking the risks so that over manufacturers don't have to.The P3 is a fantastic machine with so much innovation. And I mean real innovation. Did Stern, Spooky, JJP, American Pinball reinvent anything in pinball lately? I mean something big? Not talking about toys and other stuff…
Just think about flippers for example. Every company uses the same old flipper mechanism without bothering to change anything. Same old thing for the last 80 years.
Multimorphic finally changed that tradition. Not to mention the slingshot . So, instead of drilling the hole through the playfield and buying the same old mech, they have to reinvent it as drilling 4 holes through a screen it’s not easy. So all the mechs are in the apron. The apron can be taken out with a click and service on you desk. As every mech is in there. No more leaning over the pin cabinet.
Beside this, another big one that no other manufacturer dared to change. The ball trough! Is in the same position for 100 years along with the slingshot. Not to mention the space lost on many playfields because that ball has to roll from the bottom to the top just to be released at the top. Why nobody done anything about this? Commodity I would say. Gerry form Multimorphic reinvented the wheel here as well. No more space lost on the playfield, and no more classic ball trough. He put the trough in the middle of the cabinet, having the possibility to release the ball wherever the game wants to. To the left, to the right, on a ramp, from a vuk, etc etc. Not to mention that there aren’t 3,4,5 balls in the trough. You will find 15 balls!!! And yes, the games has a 15 ball multi ball as well. You can’t deny that this is a huge game changer (innovation wise).
Beside this we have the changeable game in literally 2 minutes. I’ve done it myself and couldn’t believe how easy it is. So for an extra 2-3k, you have a brand new game. All you have to do is to open two hinges and disconnect 3 cables. The new playfield slides in, your reconnect the cables, lock the two hinges, slide the glass in and there you go. And extra 2-3k and you have a new game. Even the side art is interchangeable in 2 minutes as the art is magnetic.
Let’s open our minds a bit and not be so conservative. Let’s inbrace every inovation in pinball because if we think about it, beside RGB LEDS and bigger screens and a few toys nothing changed in pinball. Everyone is free to buy the classic tables from now on but we have another option. For those that want to try something new!
And now I’m expecting a thunderstorm of hate comments, if you aren’t conservative you are against the humanity. Come one people! GO! My shield is up!)))
Stern did bring pinball electronics and software into the 21st century with the spike system. The other modern platforms (P3, FAST, JJP) have the same architecture but are not on the same level especially the CPU.Did Stern, Spooky, JJP, American Pinball reinvent anything in pinball lately?
Hi Neil will you adopt meNo Arv, I wouldn't work for a bank for all the tea in China. I was busy building the first ISP in the UK which we sold for £66M and I got a beautiful slice of that and could have retired at the grand age of 26.
put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Of course that I’m aware that the P3 won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but which pin is in the end? They aren’t mass produced anyway so if for starters they will fill a gap and with time they will release more good titles it can work quite well. I really enjoyed Heist as a title for example. And let’s not forget that every title form Spooky Pinball, American Pinball and Dutch Pinball are running on a Multimorphic board. So it supports three new companies as well not only themselves. They are here to stay in my opinion.Stern did bring pinball electronics and software into the 21st century with the spike system. I think P3 just need to get games in locations where people can experience them. Their product is good but needs to be marketed a bit more.
JJP moving onto Toy Story in March
at TPFWeird Al wasn't a theme I was expecting to see, but it could be fun. I've only played Heist on the P3 and thought it was great.
Are we finally going to get an announcement for this one soon?
