I was born in 86 and saw Jaws probably a bit too young. Remember very clearly not wanting to go in the sea on family holidays to Devon, and being very worried when my mum took our dog paddling!
Still worries me to this day, scarred for life😂
Also went on the ride in Florida with my kids, great fun and a dream come true😎

I can't think of many decent characters in Jaws or much more that happens than a big fish being a mostly invisible menace.
The movie revolves around 3 characters, Quint takes the prize for me. It's my favourite movie of all time and will never be topped. I am really thinking I want an LE.

So anyone have any Jaws trivia ?

I'll start the ball rolling ..
1: "we are going to need a bigger boat" was not in the script. Roy Scheider made it up on location, they kept it in ... ended up one of the biggest lines in movie history...

2: Hooper, when he arrives at amity, tells the boatmen 'they are going to die' they guy he was speaking too was Ben Gardner, he was the corpse in the boat hooper later dives underneath

I too loved the ride at Universal

I’m a huge fan of the Universal parks - heading to Universal Orlando for a couple of weeks later this month - and I miss the Jaws ride so much. The scale of it was incredible. It’s still operating at Universal Osaka and I’m hoping to get back out there before long to ride it again. It isn’t quite the same with a Japanese speaking skipper though!

Yes, the only reason I would head to Japan is for this ride !! I too greatly miss Orlando's ride . It was epic

Jaws The Revenge with Michael Kane.
But the story is redone and coded, kinda more fcuked up, if that's possible....lol

Perhaps someone on the programming team will have played the 1984 Text Adventure Jaws Game:

In this version you play as the shark and go around eating people. It's quite good fun and got a good sense of humour including an alternate ending if you know the secret command when the gas canister is lodged in the sharks Jaws.

Looking at previous video games, playing from the sharks point of view, is quite a fun way of going about it.

Looking forward, great theme for a Pinball.

1. It's also one of the most mis-quoted lines. The actual line is "You're gonna need a bigger boat".
One of my favourite films too. Check out the book In Harms Way. It's the story of the USS Indianapolis, the ship at the centre of the speech that Quint gives when they've all been drinking.

Clear the water mode like clear the yard for MB in walking dead, surely.

Forget the shark. Base it on drinking and singing below deck. Drunk MB is back!

Think Quint was drinking too much of his own moonshine:-
Though the general details of Quint’s monologue follow the event correctly, many aspects, like the shark deaths mentioned in Jaws were modified for emotional effect. For starters, the boat sunk on July 30th, not June 29th. There was also no "Herbie Robinson from Cleveland" aboard, so Quint seeing him half-eaten was fabricated. Also, Quint believes their mission was so secretive nobody sent a distress signal, but historically a signal was sent and ignored by a drunk radio commander. The biggest discrepancy is that sharks were the main cause of death for the men in the water. Quint's story in Jaws implies 600 men were killed by sharks, whereas sharks truly only attacked a small amount; many succumbed to hypothermia, suicide, or homicide from delusion, starvation, and thirst.
Still…..they delivered the 💣 👍

great Knowledge :)

I'm loving my Jaws retheme..be interesting to see what stern can and can't do with it.
Maybe pinball browser will be the answer to adding all sounds and callouts?

I think we will be pleasantly surprised.
I took a giant zilla dump on GZ when theme was announced but it’s not half bad.
These guys are pretty good when they put their minds too it, have faith 👍

I am hyped for this one, I’m kinda glad it’s film themed rather than band themed pin this time around,

Remember going to the cinema to see it on release 1975 as a kid. Not sure what the rating was.
Step sister took me, loads of screaming.
Always remember the head coming out the boat…and the leg being bitten off….lol

I read the Jaws book many years ago and really enjoyed it (I read it in one go) - I never did get around to watching the film. Guess I'll have to now, I feel like I'm missing out 😂

Next you will say you have never seen Star Wars……..

Ditto!

I was aged 6 when my parents took me to watch it, utterly terrifying 😳
