the distributors in US pay Stern straight away, I would have thought that ElectroCoin would do the same.. locking in price on pins ordered by distributors!?

You mean the brocolli's killed the launch, there is no way once they found out it was being revealed during the week of the queen's morning that they would agree to it and force any launch to be postponed. Bond has had loads of royal premiers, the queen even appeared in a segment with Craig. Bond and the royals are linked. If Amazon one of the biggest collectors of money on the planet even shut it's delivery on the Monday, the likes of the sun and mail would have had a field day filling the papers with how there was no respect and it's bad taste etc. A couple of playfield photos sent that appeared in forums on the evening day before the general public saw it would have made no difference. Unless everyone signed an NDA or an embargo doc they don't care. I suspect if one had been signed it would never have been sent out 🙂🤭😀

Stern needs pinheads to get all excited, even negative gets traction, I think people forget it's such a small specialist market, 99% of the population wouldn't spend £11k on what's basically a toy😀

£11k gets you a car, a new kitchen!

Time to tell the Mrs that new kitchen cancelled 😏
 
Anyone going tomorrow to play them, the have limited initial code whilst waiting for copyright issues to be resolved.

See not @Big Phil or @Gonzo fault at all for all the people directing the blame for a reveal at a pinball show that was never going to happen with the queen passing once the brocolli's got wind , even more so if it has copyright issues and a more appropriate launch platform around the corner.

Yes indeed, the licencee pulled the reveal.

So it's James Bond's fault. On this occasion Bond was the villain and myself and Phil were the good guys.

I was thinking 10 grand Pro by 2025. The rate we're going should be well before that. Even if the pound recovers, prices won't go back the other way. Real shame for pinball over here. It obviously effects prices across all levels of pins. Basically the hobby is a bit f****d.

Feels that way pounds dropped again this morning
 
Going to Mexico in 4 weeks. Playing Russian roulette with getting my money changed atm. Do I hang on another couple of weeks and hope the £ bounces back a little? Or cut my losses and get it changed now
 
I believe they're going to the BFI 60 Years of Bond event at the weekend too.
 
Lonnie on code, hopefully Mike & George do the rules stuff and Lonnie is just coding it all in. Prices are way too high now and Bond is too good of a theme for classic Lonnie shoot every shot 3 times rule set.

with the price going up daily and Lonnie on code, this is starting to worry me.
 
Not just nib prices rising. I just reordered some pcbs and components from china. prices up 35% compared to when i bought the exact same things earlier this year.
